Dr. Nilges and his staff provide the best dental care imaginable. I first met Dr. Nilges when my daughter fell and broke her front two (baby) teeth off above the gumline. We were new to town and were not his patients at the time, but Dr. Nilges met us at his office on a Saturday to provide immediate care for her, and he has continued to impress me with his dedication to his patients, both children and adult. His staff are all amazing as well, universally friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The wait times are always nonexistent, and they care about the whole patient. Last year I had to have fillings done on each quadrant of my mouth, and rather than slamming them all out in one day, which certainly would have been easier on them, I was scheduled to come in over 4 appointments to make the experience more pleasant and comfortable for me. I have never felt shamed, even though it had been ten years between dental visits for me when I first came to Dr. Nilges’s office as I didn’t have dental insurance during that time. Dr. Nilges and his staff consistently provide the best health care experiences I’ve ever had, and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Nilges is a fantastic dentist. Not only has he provided me with high quality dentist work, he also personally calls me after procedures, to make sure I am okay, and in the one or two times that I needed a rush appointment, his office saw me immediately. I've used his services for 12 years and I highly doubt I will ever use another dentist in the future. I highly highly recommend his services!

My experience with Dr. Nilges was awesome. I had an emergency situation where I had broken my front tooth and he got me in right away and was kind and gentle and fixed it so well that you can never tell that it had been broken in half. Dr. Nilges is kind, empathetic and compassionate as well as being a real professional and perfectionist as a dentist. I recommend him with my highest regard.

The dr is very gentle. I use to never like going to the dentist but he has made the experience so great in every way , that I now look forward to to next appointment. Thank you dr for making my dental experience so pain free and fear free. I recommend everyone especially people who have had a traumatizing experience with a dentist in the past.

I am new to Redding as of 8-1-19 and needed a very painful tooth looked at. I contacted several dentists in the area around where I now live and was rejected by all for one reason or another until I was given this dentist's name. They got me in their office within an hour of me calling. I filled out some paperwork and was in a chair within 15 minutes of my arrival. The front desk had already called both of my dental insurance companies and advised me of my approximate costs.
I originally was supposed to have a root canal but the tooth was too far gone. It got pulled.
Dr. Nilges and his staff are excellent from explaining the procedure to billing.
I will recommend them to any and all!
What a wonderful experience in a new city, new Dentist and staff and making a painful situation better.

The dental hygienist is thorough but efficient and truly cares. All support staff are sincere and friendly. Dr. Nilges is great at keeping an eye on pending problems but not “pushing procedures” on you; I have been going to him since he started his practice in Redding and trust his judgement to keep my teeth and smile in great shape (as well as doing what I need to do)!

Dr. Nilges was amazing! His bedside manner is top notch and it feels like he is really committed to do quality work and make you feel at ease. My procedure took longer than expected and He was cool and calm through it all. I had a number of fillings to replace and I experienced NO pain during the procedure—phenomenal!!! I would recommend him to any one looking for a professional who really cares. To top off my experiences with him, the dental hygienist was also phenomenal. Easy to talk with, caring, provided me with great education....she even started a movie for me. I thought that was only a perk for the littles! The office asethetic was very nice and staff at the front desk inviting and pleasant to work with. Happy to have found this practice!!

Pay at time of service office. Told at my time of service right before pandrmic hit that my insurance had covered the visit. I received a surprise bill in the mail during the beginning of pandemic.. I was contacted and told them I would pay when I came in for my ckeaning. Small amount of money. I then received a voicemail, my appomtment for cleaning was canceled for non payment. I was called multiple times. I felt like collection agency was pushing for payment. I called them at work on a 10 minute break. We made special arrangements to connect on a lunch break so I could pay. The employee saud she would hang by the phine and kerp it on fir my call. Then during my much needed vacation,that one of my big things to take care of and get going again was my dental care. I had 3 appointments that day due to orthodontic work. I called to make sure of my appointment time. I usually get a reminder. I was told the dentist would not be providing me services anymore. Over a small amount of money. Due to their mistake. I have had two dentist in the area of over 20 years duration. I have never been harassed for a payment. Both allowed payments.. Surely during a pandemic and myself working full time in medical myself, there could have been a little understanding. Well, I never got my dental care caught up. Not happy. A full day vacation set aside for care. Whan an office employee makes a mistake, the patient's health should be more important than a small amount of money. I would have paid at the time of service had i been given a bill.

I have used Dr. Nilges since the day he took over the business. From my very first appointment until now, I have liked him. He is very conscientious of his work. He is very thorough, polite, and is always concerned if there is any pain. I cannot remember when there has been any pain with him. The thing I like most about Dr. Nilges is I can talk to him as a friend. His staff is very polite and knowledgeable. They are always ready to assist with any questions or concerns.
