New Essence Dentistry

Dr. Winslow and his staff was very patient and gentle. They explained in detail what work I needed and actually showed visual pictures as if I was in a class room. I enjoyed the environment and music. Thanks Dr. Winslow

My first visit was excellent! Great customer service, knowledgeable staff and doctor. I needed a pre authorization from my insurance and the front desk gentleman (sorry, I forgot his name) sent the information right away as promised. My next visit is gonna be costly but I’m still looking forward to going back! The vibe/mood of the office is the perfect mix of laid back and professional. It’s very calming for someone like me who is always worried about pain and money when entering a dental office. They have def done their part to make a new happy customer out of me

My kids and I had the best experience we have ever had at the dentist. My kids said they were so nice and gentle and my 7 year old said they even gave him a blanket because he was cold from the AC. Dr. Winslow is so professional and communicative letting me know his opinions and asking for mine, genuinely wanting what's best for his patients. I had never experienced that before, our last dentist rushed us in and out like cattle and would always push for what I felt like unneccessary procedures. So happy my sister recommended Essence Dentistry!

I love my dental office. EVERYONE is so nice. They are extremely professional and so caring. They are hardly ever late or running behind and if they are, so are sure to keep you advised and taken care of. They make you feel like they really care with their words and actions. I never feel rushed, forgotten or pushed in decision making etc. I refer anyone and everyone in my conversations regarding dentistry!!! The office is so relaxing. THEY PLAY THE BEST MUSIC AND HAVE THE BEST VACATION PHOTOS ON THE WALLS!!! To me... they are a very small but luxury dental office!!! GREAT THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES!!! And New Essence is one of them!!!

Dr. Winslow & Dr. Herrera are both very patient with my son, who is very nervous going to the dentist and has not had a pleasant experience. Their office is warm and welcoming, relaxing and plays great music. Both Drs’ take their time with their patients and listen to concerns a patient may have, as well as giving them options for alternative treatment.

I love this place! Everyone is friendly and very personable. Victor is the best front desk person a dentist office can ask for. Dr Winslow is the best dentist too! I have been going there for the last 10 years and is and have been very satisfied with the service. Prompt, great music, super pictures on the wall, friendly atmosphere, and they know how to make your teeth shine..

Dr. Winslow is great- professional, great chair side manner. The staff are beyond amazing, however there is one big exception- on my first appointment I saw Dr. Herrera. She was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She admonished me- loudly -while other patients and staff were in the area- about my teeth. I admittedly had not been to the dentist in a while for a cleaning, but really? I had a lot of personal things going on in my life- mainly w/ my children & of course I neglected to care for myself. Was that really necessary or appropriate?
While Dr. Winslow spoke to me to arrange for a crown I needed (work I was already aware I required) Dr. Herrera interrupted and condescendingly told him to verify my insurance first to make sure it was covered. He told her I had insurance but she rudely insisted he check first -as if I could not pay for my dental work. I consented to the work beforehand , and would have done it no matter what my coverage was. I have never experienced such unprofessional and discourteous behavior from a dentist. I almost did not return because I did not want to work with her ever again. I was told I was to be scheduled with Dr. Winslow so I moved forward. He was great, as well as all the staff.
My crown unfortunately did not fit quite right and I have some sensitivity now. I tried scheduling a follow up with the dentist but did not get a call back, and unfortunately this office is no longer in my network. I believe this may have been due to COVID- as the office seems very responsive. I would definitely recommend Dr. Winslow, and his team - but steer clear of Dr. Herrera. If it were not for here I would give this office 5 stars.

Went today for a cracked tooth! Needless to say, lost more work is needed but the service was great! The staff is so nice and friendly! Jeron was honest and truthful and they broke down my services to make sure my insurance was satisfied and pushed out some other services for next year when my insurance max resets! What dentist does this! None that I have been to ever in my whole life! We will have a update once I get my crown! But so far very impressed and have already referred my oldest son to come support this Dental office.

I don't love going to the dentist but its always a great experience at New Essence!

New Essence Dentistry has come to my attention very highly recommended through my daughter and her husband. I checked it out and the service and care have been phenomenal. Through their referral,l had two successful extraction sessions with Sacramento Valley Dental Specialists. Then l went back to New Essence for thorough deep cleaning session. The result has been satisfactorily professional. They took excellent care of my dental concerns and needs. I recommend New Essence Dentistry to anyone looking for professional dental service. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my future dental concerns.
