Having this right next to our home was a huge benefit but every visit raises another problem. You need cavity help but we suggest the $1000 option. You need a crown or cap but that'll be $6000+ and other dentists would do the exact same procedure at half the cost. PLUS you have a warranty but the cap fell off, next visit another $75, another "suggestion" that something is wrong with my teeth in the "back area". Maybe it's the new equipment and location to pay for but this place is simply a complete scam, no real expertise, and simply looking to book the next for another check in the mail.
Stay Away. The reviews tell the story. And when you see 5 star ratings or reviews from active employees run for the hills.

Danielle and Leticia in the front immediately made me feel welcome and calmed my nerves. Sarah did my cleaning and constantly made sure I was comfortable and I had the best cleaning I've ever had! This office is further from my house than other locations but will be coming back for the great service!

Uneasy feeling after leaving their office. I scheduled a routine cleaning and was told I could have gum disease and should pay an extra $250+ for a deep cleaning. Then I should see someone that they would recommend. A standard cleaning took literally 2 hours!! The actual cleaning took less than 20 minutes. I felt as if was at a time sharing presentation. At least four people came to the room including the office manager who made me sign a document stating you've been made aware and are refusing the deep cleaning. Never have I felt so bamboozled. I will be going back to my regular dentist. Beware you might need a deep cleaning too.

TLDR: Get second or third opinions from an independent dentist office if your quote or treatment plan ever seems excessive***
This review is for an exam I had with Dr. Nazareno last month and is not a review of any cleaning or treatment services. I went to Carmel Valley Dentist Office to get a second opinion after going to La Jolla Village Smiles (note that both offices are owned by Pacific Dental Services). I completed x-rays and then was told by Dr. Nazareno that I needed 3 root canals (tooth #2, 3, and 19), 2 new crowns and 1 replacement crown, and 4 fillings. I had a panic attack in the dentist chair. I can only remember having two panic attacks previously in my life... Anyways I ran outside and eventually had to go back inside and it was humiliating. I was just completely overwhelmed by the news that I would need so many dental procedures and I knew it would be painful, cost thousands and thousands of dollars, and many hours in the dentist chair.
I informed my orthodontist about this because I'm doing Invisalign and my trays won't fit if I have three new crowns. He strongly advised I get another opinion from one of his colleagues at a dentist office which my insurance sadly does not cover (they only take PPOs). I agreed and this dentist ultimately recommended 0 root canals, 0 new crowns, and 8 fillings (some new, some replacements). He explained root canals and crowns should be the last resort because I'm 27 and should not be doing permanent damage to my teeth unless absolutely necessary. Even though my insurance won't cover it, after comparing the two quotes I will save over $3000 by going to the uninsured dentist and doing only fillings.
I don't know what motivates Dr. Nazareno or other PDS dentists to possibly overprescribe dental treatments and it's not my place to speculate. **I just highly recommend people try to get second and third opinions from independent dental offices whenever possible. **

Office is incredibly gorgeous and staff is very warm and welcoming. I came In knowing what i needed done. I was with a previous dentist whom i loves for years but got new insurance and they didn’t accept it. Came in and was told i needed 4 crowns, 2 of which were in the front and a root canal which would cost me thousands of dollars. I just saw a dentist last week and said i only had a few cavities to be filled. I also Called my previous dentist that i saw In October and said it was outrageous that this dentist even suggested a root canal and crowns and that it was totally unnecessary. I’m giving 3 stars because the staff was incredibly nice. I would get a second opinion if you go here

Scammers for sure!!! I had just had my cleaning done but changed insurance so went to see them, and had been getting my checkup every 6 months without problems. I go there, first they wanted all new Xrays even though I had ones within a year sent to them. They claimed I needed deep gum cleaning, my wisdom teeth removed, replace my recent crowns which I've had for 3 years without issues!!!! They wanted to do oral cancer screen which is never necessary unless you are very high risk (and I'm not at all). They don't follow association guidelines at all. Don't go there! They wanna steal your money and your insurance company's money.

This place is a joke. I got a cleaning treatment done and the person who did it told me there is a laser treatment that usually costs $800 and with my insurance is only $200. I asked her to specifically make sure that the insurance covers this treatment and she said I checked with the front desk and they said yes it’s covered. After I called the insurances company and they told me this is not covered. I called the office to get some clarification and see why I was lied to and they were absolutely rude. So technically I was lied to to get a treatment done and when I called to see what happened they couldn’t even apologies.

Catherine Lazarz was amazing today! I had two temporary crowns done today. She is an important part of Dr. Bancroft’s team. So very professional

Beware! I came to this new dental office for a crown and an onlay for my teeth. It was a nice office and staff and the dentist were very nice, but I feel ripped off at this point. I was told that I need to pay $1650 out of pocket for a crown (no root canal) and an onlay, which I agreed to pay. Later, the insurance (delta) sent me a statement, which indicated I owe $1005 not $1650!!! I talked to office staff about this. Later I was told that the $600 difference is because my crown was "same day" and is made of a particular material! But there was 3 problems with that explanation: first, my crown was not delivered the same day but 3 weeks later, so it was not same day!!! Second, for my next visit there was a problem with crown's color, which I had to wait another couple of weeks for the crown to be ready, so by any means, it was not a same day crown as they claimed! Third, I never asked for a same day delivery crown. They talked about all the procedures and had me sign all the docs but no one talked to me about other options such as having a regular non-same-day crown!!!! I was never told I'm being charged more because this cerac crown same day BS.
