We all know going to the dentist is usually anxiety inducing. I was looking for a new dentist for me and my family and despite a few of the bad reviews I decided to give this place a shot. I scheduled my appointment and they messaged me a few days later saying an earlier appointment opened up and asked if I wanted it. I was in no rush for a cleaning and consult but if it was available well why not.

I show up fill out all of the paperwork and get taken to the back. I understand that covid has people in and out of work but a temp who had no idea how to adjust the chair let alone work the x-ray gun or their software starts taking x-rays. This made me extremely uncomfortable to be anywhere in that seat. I expressed my concerns and discomfort and they had someone else (who hasn't been there much longer) come and finish up the xrays. They also did not know how to work the software very well so I am assuming it was another temp.

The Dentist comes and we have a chat he does his check and then leaves. Somebody from the front desk comes back with pricing and after a small chat says I need to sit and wait until the other cleaning is finished (45 more minutes) until they can get started on me. I say I had an appointment that should have been all at once and should take about 2 hours instead of 3 and she tells me they are doing me a favor. I didn't ask for any favors to be seen early. I didn't have any pressing need for dental work. I did however not want to spend 3+ hours at the dentist in the middle of a work day. She just kept saying they are doing me a favor and I should be happy because they book out months and months in advance.

I told them this wasn't right and I left. We will see what they try and bill my insurance for but based on the other low star comments I am probably going to have to fight that with my insurance company.

I cancelled all of my family's appointments and will be looking elsewhere. I would suggest you do so as well.

I called with an emergency on a Friday afternoon. They said no problem and told me to come on in. I was in and out within an hour. Thank you so much!

We love this dental office more than any we’ve had in 27+ years of marriage. From the front desk to the back technicians and the warm and most capable Doctor you’ll be pleased and feel at home.

We also like that the exam rooms are not laid out like the typical open “horse stalls” of so many contemporary dental offices.

I absolutely loved my experience at San Marcos Dental Studio. The staff and doctor are friendly, professional, and very helpful. The office was very nice and I felt comfortable throughout my whole visit. After having a bad experience at a different dental office, I was so happy to find SMDS. I am extremely happy with the service I was provided and feel so relieved I found this office!

Highly recommended this dentist! I now have finally found someone who is so kind, patient and does amazing work where I don’t dread going! If your looking to find a new dentist look no further all the staff is so helpful and nice plus amazing work done!!! My whole mouth was a mess and now I am out of pain and have a great smile! Thanks to this amazing dentist!

My tooth cracked. I was in a lot of pain. They saw me the next morning. Did a root canal, a filling, and a crown and I was out the door by noon pain free. Simply Amazing! Thank you!

Three years ago, I paid several thousand dollars on dental care and a three-tooth bridge. Recently the bridge came out while eating. The two supporting teeth that anchored the bridge were just gum level nubs. There was nothing left to hold either end of the bridge in place. I went to the dentist as soon as possible. He examined the bridge and the nubs of my anchor teeth. I asked how does that happen? He replied, " I don't know". End of conversation. Soon
the assistant came back with a quote of appx 12,000.00 dollars to place new implants. I don't think so. I'm looking for a new dentist. And I didn't
get my bridge back! Not a happy camper.

So far we are loving this office. We are new patients and they have made us feel very welcome. I felt like Ramsey (the hygienist) really took time to educate each of us as well- so that we can be sure we are doing our part between cleanings! Highly recommend for your whole family....they were great with my kids too.

They were a wonderful group of people! Dr Shahrokh was very professional and personable He took the time to meet me, get to know my fears, expectations and just plain me! Ramsey was the best hygienist I have ever had! He had to do a deep cleaning and had me giggling in the chair numerous times-great sense of humor, extremely thorough and very gentle -absolutely no pain! The front desk was cheerful and helpful and his assistant took a completely painless set X-rays. Altogether a truly positive experience and I would recommend them highly!
