I want to thank, the wonderful staff at H&M Family Dental. From the moment I entered the front door, this marvelous staff greeted me with a sincere and warm and welcome.
It has been a little while for me to get to the dentist for my dental care. Lack of insurance for one good reason.
Good news today, I am fortunate, to have Medicaid for now, since my physical challenge became an issue, which led me having to resign from my work at UPS which I enjoyed.
I pray somehow & some way God will send me one of his secret angels, who can afford to help me cover my dental repairs here at H&M Family Dental. I really need my procedure to help me feel good about myself again with a brand new smile.
Dr. Gua, Ana and the hygienist helped keep my fears calm and they were very helpful in explaining what I will need to improve my dental needs.
I would like to recommend any of my friends and family members to look them up, and if you need a Dental Office. I would recommend this thoughtful dental staff to care for your personal dental needs or concerns.
What else impressed me, personally, was the passion Dr. Gua has to be one of the best Dr.s to treat patients with top of the line equipment, & knowledge to help in the health and wellness programs in dentistry work.
It is always a blessing to find professionals as himself and for the caring staff I met on my trip to have my evaluation done.
Once again i would like to say, thank you to H&M Family Dentistry for your thoughtful care for my dental needs and concerns.
May the Great Providence bless this practice abundantly. In Jesus Name I wish you all good success and prosperity.
Sincerely,
Your new patient,
Denise Aquino

I can't begin to say how wonderful this dentist office is. Hua and Xiaomei are the best in the business. I'm very picky and I found their dental office on Yelp and read ALL of the excellent reviews. That's what got me to go there. I was so impressed by how clean the office is and so sophisticated. The front desk girls are very friendly and Dr. Hua Gao and Dr. Xiaomei Sui are just unbelievably great at what they do, telling you each step of the way what they're doing. I've never experienced such a great dentist!! I've been to see them 3 times now, the last visit having a root canal done and wow. I just can't say enough good things about them!!!! I actually look forward to going to the dentist now, like family! I can't thank them enough! The whole staff is wonderful. They must be for putting up with me, ha!

H&M gets a 5 star rating!! I don't often do this, but this place is great from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you walk out the door. Staff is friendly and professional and doctor is amazing!! I will be referring my friends and family to H&M!!

Appointment kept and I was seen with a relatively short wait-time. Paperwork was done efficiently and Bobbi and Christina we're knowledgeable about my insurance. Visit with Drs. Gao and Sui went through comfortably as far as a dentist visit could go. No problems so far. Will see how the follow-up appointment goes.

This place is awesome! Staff is super friendly and helpful. I am dealing with problems I neglected for way to long, and I have been in severe pain. They have done a excellent job of helping me and explaining all options along the way. Make this your dentist office!

Best dentist office I have ever been to. ALL of the staff is so nice and accommodating. I started to bring my kids here too. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist.

The people at this office we're nice, but I was a little disappointed with their work. They were quite good in some ways as an office, but overall I wasn't confident in them. My visits took a long time, and although I specifically requested the female practicioner because I thought she was better I always ended up with the husband after the first half of my first appointment (they switched mid appointment because she was needed elsewhere, I understand that, but it pretty much confirms that she's the better dentist).
He went too deep on a filling (I indicated it to him obviously at the time when it started to hurt but he wouldn't stop drilling... Just a little further for another minute or so). I feel that dentists should listen to their patients and stop when it hurts. It was almost unbearable when he stopped. He had observed that it might end up too deep before the drilling, I understood that, but he told me that he was just being extra careful and had already gotten the cavity before he continued to drill for a fee more minutes, including the painful too deep drilling. When you're too close to the root you should not be OCD about cutting just a little more tooth just in case, that is the time to err on the side of cutting less tooth because if you drill the root it doesn't matter if the cavity is gone or not because a root canal will become necessary. I also wasn't confident in his x-ray reading, I asked for another opinion, waited like 40min and his wife came and gave a totally different analysis. It went from no cavities (I knew I had 1 or 2 at least) to like 6. Not sure if that was overkill or not. It was at least believable because I have Celiac disease and always have cavities regardless of strict oral hygiene.
I did end up needing a root canal, though it didn't hurt before the drilling. I was in pain leaving the office even numbed and they said to call back in a few days. I called the next day and told them that I didn't think I could take another 24 hours of that kind of pain. I have high pain tolerance FYI. They told me that they could see me the next day but I told them I wanted to see the wife only. They asked and she said that she wasn't comfortable doing a root canal on me because I was in the early stages of pregnancy. I kind of admired that consideration, but also felt that since they knew I was pregnant that should have been brought up before the questionable drilling started if that was a concern since he already knew it might be deep. They asked if it hurt any less than it had on the previous day and I said it maybe hurt a hair less in that I wasn't close to loosing my mind over it. They responded that any decrease in pain at all indicated that I didn't need a root canal because the nerve was probably just inflamed and it would fade over the next few months.
I believed them, was in pain for another 5 months, and then went to another dentist because the pain was just wearing me down constantly. The dentist told me that this pain was not going away because I needed a root canal and referred me to a specialist who agreed. I had habituated to the pain (I do that) and didn't really how bad it was until it finally stopped hurting. Sweet relief. I could finally sleep again! I was so grateful for the other practitioner.
So, no I don't recommend the office because I don't feel that the husband is a very skilled dentist and because they left me in the lurch (I did have to see a specialist who does root canals, so that last one isn't a big deal), but you could do a lot worse really. I had a bad experience, but the prices are good, the front desk and billing seemed very good. I think that the wife might be a 5 star dentist and it might even be a 5 star office for great prices, but since you have to see both practitioners and I'd give the other dentist 2 stars (very nice but not very skilled or wise in practice as of my visit in 2015) I don't recommend it personally.
I will add the caveate that it's been 3 years, and if he was still in training then he might possibly be better now.

This has been the cleanest most respectful dentist office. My biggest fear has always been going to the dentist and yet, this place puts me at ease from the time I walk in the door to the time I walk out. They are absolutely amazing! If I had a choice to go to another dentist office I simply wouldn’t! By far the best for sure.
