I went in for a root canal and a filling. The crown on the root canal feels great and I have full tooth function. These folks are talented.

If you want painless dentistry, I recommend Dr Royal. I had to have a filling replaced I felt nothing. The staff is friendly and Dr. Royal has a great bedside manner and gives injections so you don’t feel any pain. Would highly recommend Dr. Royal and his staff.

Best experience I have ever had with a dentist office, the staff who work there are outstanding and super kind. They completely destroy the competition in the area because they're that good no wait time at all checked in walked to the back started doing my impression , reviewed my file on my teeth put a cap on my implant. I talk to both Dr.Effinger and his awesome assistant Jackie about further procedures I should look forward to doing next time I'm in town because I fly from Las Vegas to Colorado Springs to get my work done because I trust them that much and they're always willing to go above and beyond for someone because they truly do care what you want your smile to look like and they always make it happen will continue to go out of my way to see amazing people

Best dentist I have ever been to. The front office is brilliant and everyone there is friendly and professional. I highly reccomend going there and seeing Dr Royal, as he is brilliant and very knowledgeable. It is a comfortable, professional environment. A bonus is that insurance eligibility is checked for you, but they have an in office deal for people without insurance, which I thought was cool.

Going to a new doctor of any kind can make you nervous. My visit to Dr. Effinger’s office for the first time was no different. By the time I had new X-rays, my teeth cleaned and polished, and a wonderful fluoride solution to swish around, the nervousness was gone. I returned that afternoon for some amalgamation and voila I was finished until my next scheduled appointment six months from now.
Glad to meet you Dr. Effinger. Thank you for professionalism and caring attitude. That also goes out to your whole staff who made me not feel nervous at all.

I chose Alliance Family Dentistry because of the fabulous reviews online. I saw Dr. Royal and his staff today (7 May 2019) for a routine check-up and cleaning. They did not disappoint. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Carmen did my check-up and cleaning. She made me feel comfortable and was fast, but thorough with the process. I appreciate the information and guidance she provided me.
Dr. Royal was just as kind as all of his staff members. It was easy talking to him. Could it be that we were both in the Army and shared the same duty stations years apart? I think so! I like his Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) analogy. Want to know what they’re about? Make an appointment and find out! :)
Dr. Royal explained everything very thoroughly and made sure I understood what was going on. He was patient, soft spoken, and just easy to talk to. I appreciate the fact that he helped out at the front office training a new employee. You don’t see that too often at a regular dental office. I also appreciate that they called in a referral to another office for me. That’s what I call excellent customer service!
I was very impressed during my first visit to Alliance Family Dentistry and I would recommend this place to anyone! Keep up the SPECTACULAR work, Team AFD: Dr. Royal, Carmen, Celia, Lexia, Nesa, et. al.!

I‘ve used Dr. Royal for many years and I have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff. Dr. Paul Effinger (his replacement) is off to a good start in terms of carrying on that tradition. I encountered an issue the other day with one of his receptionists and it was brought to his attention. He immediately called me to apologize and discuss what had happened. He went above and beyond to resolve the matter and ensure this never happens again. Kudos to him for the action he took, which speaks volumes.

This practice has cancelled three separate appointments for my family this month, each time saying that no hygienist is available for the appointment time made six months in advance. The former dentist retired recently and the new management appears to be ill-equipped. After many years, we are looking for a new dentist. (If someone at the practice reads this, please stop sending me emails saying I'm overdue for the appointment you cancelled, from a no-reply email address. Thank you.)

I have been coming to Alliance Familey Dentistry for years and I will hopefully keep coming for many more. They have always made coming to the dentist no big deal. Dr Royal and his staff helped me through three rounds of braces, scheduling my wisdom teeth removal, and just over all dental are as the structure of my mouth changed. They have always been kind and friendly to me, making me feel welcome.
