I am only giving two stars because the hygienist and the front desk staff were so friendly. But other than that completely disappointed. I am extremely uneasy about going to the dentist, I went to have a check up done and they needed to remove my wisdom teeth. They were already grown in. But tried to charge me for a bone in extraction which was almost $1,000 more! When I asked they said they had to charge me for the bone in because it "might" be more complicated. I told them that I did not have the money for a procedure that expensive and they could care less. I started to get nervous when they told me about the procedure and they all just stared at me and didn't even bother to comfort me. They literally sat in silence and watched me cry. It was horrible. I also received a cleaning and the hygienist was the one that told me that they ordered a gum cleaning with a lazer for an extra $200 that they didn't even discuss with me! I was so surprised and she was the one that told me it was a waste of money and she would only do a normal cleaning. Thank goodness for her. So nice office, clean, fancy but all they care about is money and not the patient.

Dr. Pickett and all of the staff are wonderful. As I have gotten older I have become more apprehensive about going to the dentist because I have had some recent painful experiences (two dry sockets from wisdom tooth removal, failed root canal from many years ago). I ended up visiting this office on referral from a friend because I needed a consult for my failed root canal that needed to be extracted and replaced with an implant. They made me feel comfortable from the time I walked in the door, to when I had to call for an emergency appt to have that tooth removed (stupid me, I waited too long), to the time I got the implant. I would recommend them to friends and family and will continue to go here for surgical/invasive procedures (although I sure hope there aren't any ;) ). Thanks again to Dr. Pickett and all of the supporting staff!

I changed my review after I spoke to Dr Pickett and another dentist about the situation.
I was told by my next dentist that would be putting in implants for two teeth that Dr Pickett removed, that Dr Picket's bone graft was an amazing job.

Dr Pickett was only able to extract my teeth but because of my gag reflex, was not able to perform the implants.

Dr Pickett gave me a ballpark figure of the cost and grossly understated that total cost.
After searching, I found another practice to perform the implant portion but the price for the total procedure is 3x the "ballpark" figure originally figured by Dr Pickett. Even his fee for just the extraction cost even more than the ballpark figure that was expected for the entire process.
So my rating is mostly based on his incredible bone graft job but poor cost estimate.

His assistant, Melissa is amazing.

The front office staff was ok and friendly but off point for resolution on calls and having someone greeting customers at the door (no one at the desk for over 20 minutes).

New to the Springs, I had to find a dentist. I picked this location since it was close and had good reviews. I had an infection and my Dentist, Dr Hall, was friendly and proscribed my antibiotics. Knowing I need lots of work done he suggested I come in for a 3 D X-ray to come up with a future plan. I was quoted a price by 2 different people. Today I go in for my X-ray and was quoted a different price. I was told that was the price only if I was on their discount plan. Hesitantly I agreed, only because I knew I needed to get a lot of work done. After getting the X-ray I was put in a room. You would think that at some point someone would come in there and explain they are running late or some sort of excuse. After 25 minutes I finally walked out. The staff is friendly, but I will be going somewhere more organized.

Incredible dentist and staff! They addressed the need very quickly and treated our son with great knowledge and compassion.

I highly recommend this dentistry practice! I just recently moved to Colorado Springs, and was completely satisfied with the care they provided. The dentist quickly identified my problems and suggested an effective, affordable treatment plan. I didn't feel bullied into costly add-on services, and feel I was given excellent care. I plan to use this practice for the foreseeable future for all my dental needs.

My experiences with them in the beginning were really great but as time has gone on, my experiences have gone downhill. Here are a few of the issues lately:
The last time I was in they had me sign a form that stated if I was 5 minutes late, they could cancel and reschedule my appointment. Yet I waited for 15 minutes after my appointment time, to be called back for my appointment.
I get appointment confirmations multiple times through email, text and phone which is wonderful so I don't forget but when I confirm the appointment through one of those avenues, I still continue to get notifications that tell me that if I don't confirm my appointment, it will be forfeited. A bit annoying.
I've seen multiple hygienists since I've been there, no consistency on that front. I've been going every 4 months for years, yet this last time I was told by my new hygienist that I don't have to come back for 6 months with no explanation for the change. Also, due to a change and mix-up, I haven't been seen by my dentist there for over 6 months.
It's disappointing because I thought they would be able to sustain the positive experience I had but it just seems like they are too overwhelmed. I will be looking into finding a new dentist office with some consistency.

Thank you so much to everyone at North Powers Modern Dentistry! I went in for a new patient visit, every person I was in contact with was friendly and caring. From the receptionist who I spoke to when I went into the office, to Dr. Nielson who sat down with me to go over what the plan was for the visit to Gina who was so kind and energetic during the whole appointment (which melted my anxiety away about being at the dentist - thank you Gina!), to Lori, my hygienist, who was very thorough and did a wonderful job! I am so thankful for everything they did and how they did it!

I just love everyone at this office and they are very good at theirs jobs. Very welcoming, professional, and all around a great dental office 😁

This place has the friendliest staff I have ever met. Dr. Pickett and Henesis are an amazing duo that took the time to make sure my bite guard was perfect. This place is busy for a reason. They do things right the first time. This office is great for the whole family
