Summit Family Dental of Cortez

They are wonderful!!! I had a problem, they got me in right away and fixed the problem. The dentist is awesome and the staff is extremely accommodating and friendly.

I was checked in and waiting less than 5 minutes. Staff was wonderful and my appointment altogether was less than an hour. I have been with Summit for years and I don’t want to change

I would recommend going anywhere but here. Due to inconvenience we were 15 minutes late and they seem to have a 10 minute policy and proceeded to want to charge a $50 fee to reschedule. Aside from this, they didn’t seem to answer our phone numbers since they’re out of state number although as soon as I called from a local number it didn’t ring more than twice before the phone was answered. Darla and Chelsea were both extremely rude. We pleaded they help as this was an emergency and asked to speak to the dentist as this couldn't wait any longer as the pain is excruciating although they seemed to be firm that the dentist would agree with their every word and denied we even speak to the dentist. If I were the head of this location, I would rethink the entire office and staff. We called another location soon after this phone call and let us know they would be willing to take our appointment and find a solution today. Again, anywhere but here. :)

The office is beautiful and the office staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with my visit. I was very nervous going into my visit I have extreme mouth pain and sores where my dentures were rubbing, I was also having pain in my bones and jawbone. I have been using a prescription mouth lozenge for a very long time with poor results. I had convinced myself that I had cancer of bone or a bad infection in my gums going up my face and sinuses. The medical assistant was very helpful and helped me to relax she told Dr Marlatt everything that was going on he quickly came into the exam room and did a very thorough exam and explained what was going on in my gums and explained that different medications and weight gain or loss could change the way my dentures were fitting and cutting into my gums and giving me sensations in the bones around my mouth. He was very helpful and explained everything to me so I understood. A very nice Dr They sanded my dentures down so they fit better and told me to not wear them until my mouth healed along with warm salt water rinses which I have done twice this afternoon and can feel my gums healing. Thank you for calming my fears of having mouth cancer and your knowledge and professionalism to the whole staff . I highly recommend Summit Family Dental for all of your dental needs! Thank you.

I called 13 days ago and spoke to Chelsea about an emergency my 11 year old was having. I explained it to her clearly as I could and ask for them to call me back so we knew what to do next (because I AM NOT A DR and dont know what to do). She never called. I called today and she said she did try to call me but it "kept going to voicemail" to which I responded why didnt she leave a voicemail then?? She said the DR is very confused about your call and what youre needed. THEN WHY DIDNT HE CALL AND ASK? 13 days! I spoke to the DR today. He apologized and tried to amend the situation. I call back to schedule and speak with Autumn. I didnt give any names at all, I ask if they still have the 730 appointment and she says no. I ask can you please call me if there is a cancel. She says oh yes absolutly then says her pleasentries like she is going to hang up. I ask "who will you call if theres a cancel" she took no names or anything! Her response was 'oh yeah let me...." No thanks. Youre both unprofessional and both proved this morning to be dishonest people. Proven. It isnt the appointment time, its that she lied and said oh ya Ill call you if theres a cancel, with NO IDEA whom I am referring to.

This was my first visit so the anxiety and embarrassment kicked in but after a short time I felt comfortable and a dental plan was started for me to better my teeth. Thanks

I left supposedly owing 300.00 from a visit 18 months earlier and the young receptionist had no clue why or couldn't answer why a bill was never sent. Probably time to find a new provider that has their billing in order!

They where very thorough and very knowledgeable about what I need done. They also made sure to let me know all the procedures that I was needing done. As a veteran I know how hard it is to work with the VA system. Great staff great atmosphere

This was the best dentist experience I've had. The whole team treated me with kindness, respect, and compassion. They kept me highly informed of every procedure they intended to do so I knew exactly what was going on. It was fabulous. I learned so much! And I've been going to the dentist since I was young. Highly recommend!

Summit Family Dental of Cortez was a great experience for my son and I. The place was absolutely beautiful inside and outside. It was nice and clean the staff was very friendly and polite. It was really nice to go there. I definitely would recommend people to go there if they can.
