I recently went to Sundance Dental and wanted to share my experience. I'm pretty particular with my smile, and wanted to have a crown that was done a long time ago at a different dentist's office redone. With my old crown, I wasn't too pleased with the color and I was having sensitivity problems. I went and saw Dr. Darais and was happy with the treatment plan and options he offered me. We discussed the problems I was having, and he helped me decide on a treatment plan. He put a new crown on and I love the color and the sensitivity is completely gone. Dr. Darais was very knowledgeable and listened to me and my concerns. I have since taken in all three of my kids to Dr. Darais, for cleanings, fillings and to get my son's tooth pulled. I'm happy to say I have found a great dentist and plan on continuing to go to Sundance for my treatments. BTW, the office was amazing - the staff, the cleanliness and all of the equipment seemed like new and state of the art!!!

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! I live in Durango and couldn’t get an appointment for 3 months out for a chipped tooth. I called Sundance Dental and they got me an appointment the very next day!! The office is. Nice and clean and the staff was extremely nice!! The doctor saw me fixed me up and I was Soooo happy! Well worth the drive and I will DEFINITELY be going back!!!

AMAZING! As a 40 year old male who has not taken care of his teeth well, I hate going to the dentist because of how they respond when they see me. Dr. Darais was incredible, he took me into his consult room after I had an x-ray done and showed me my major problem areas, minor problem areas and things that I've actually done good which made me feel better about myself. He told me what I could wait to fix, what he would fix now, and pointers on things to do to help with my overall mouth health. We laid out a plan that I could not only afford financially, but that could be done around my work schedule. They have a SUPER clean new facility, and an incredible Dentist /Staff - HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Dr. Darais and his crew!

Def would recommend summit family dental in Cortez Colorado staff was amazing I was in and out and the doc is a very nice man and up front with ya.

I have mixed feelings about this dental. I took four children to it for routine cleanings.

Pros:
we were able to schedule quickly and get in to be seen soon
nice facility
nice staff...dentist and all the hygienists were great with the kids
kids get to watch movies while waiting and having dental work done (could be a con if you don't like that)
the kids each got a nice water bottle, toothbrush, paste, etc.
When I complained, they called me back later and said they would write off my bill as new pt promo

Cons:
they recommended fillings on baby teeth that many dentists would say, no big deal, they'll fall out soon anyway
they gave a quote for wisdom teeth removal that seemed outrageous to me (maybe not?)
We had dental insurance that supposedly pays 100% for cleanings, but I still got a bill for $105 from Sundance, because they billed, according to my insurance company, more than normal. My benefits statement says, "charges exceed the usual allowance". They billed my insurance $360 for one child, $350 each for two, and $332 for another. Seems like a lot for a cleaning/exam to me? I called Sundance and complained about it, and at first she just said, "sorry" and didn't offer to do anything about it, but I said I was going to be writing a public review about my experience. As I was writing this (about 20 minutes after I spoke to them), she called back and said they they would write it off as a new patient promo. That is very nice of them. However, I think people should go in with eyes wide open. Perhaps contact your insurance company first to see exactly how much they will pay for routine cleanings. Perhaps this is more an insurance issue, but I don't think so, I've haven't had a issue before with the dental insurance.

In the future I will try to prepare better and bring my kids in to see Dr. Strietzel in Mancos, where my husband and I have both gone with a great experience.

Everyone was so warm and friendly it brought tears to my eyes.

Very nice and skilled professionals. I have had a very excellent experience every time I have been there for an appointment. From the minute you walk in till leave you are treated so well you forget you are at a dentist office.
