I've been to this office twice now for cleanings and they're so great! They are quick, professional and friendly! They go out of their way to help patients too! There was another patient there during my visit that had an emergency and they took him immediately. They also take steps to ensure that patients are comfortable. I got anxious during a cleaning because of the cavatron machine used and they offered to use the hand explorers to clean my teeth on my next visit in order to see if that might help my anxiety. This is an excellent office! I highly recommend them! My only negative review of this office is of the front desk receptionist. They are not very welcoming and they do not follow up with what they say they'll do. On my first visit, I was told I'd be contacted in 6 months to schedule another cleaning. I waited and waited and had to call the office to schedule my cleaning after waiting almost 3 months. The second time I visited, they didn't even offer to schedule me for a follow up cleaning. They just said OK, next cleaning in 6 months. I think this office could benefit from new receptionist.

Dentist was fast and professional. Be getting my teeth cleaned there again. Fillings weren’t great too.

It's been 3 months since I've seen them, and they examined me told me they would contact me with a plan for work to be done and estimate of how much it would cost. So far I have not heard anything from them even after multiple calls to their office with promises that they will contact me with the information I requested.
Now I will have to start over and find another dentist because of their total lack of follow through on such a simple thing as asking for a call back, I can only imagine the level of service they would provide if they were to do actual work and what kind of follow-up service they would provide if any issues were to come up.
Be careful about this establishment.

Update 8/31/22 Dr Crandall reached out to me and was very apologetic about not being contacted about dental work.
I decided to give him a shot and I am very happy I did, Dr C and the staff are great, having a lifelong fear of dentists he made me feel comfortable and completely explained what was needed to fix my smile.
Comfort Dental has been providing top notch service at reasonable prices. I would reccomend them to my friends if I had any 🤣🤣

I live in Pagosa but choose to come here. Everyone is friendly, appointments are quick and the dentists are thorough. Plus, the tooth cleaning method with the high pressured water is amazing!

The first time I went in the lady working the front desk was incredibly rude. They had my insurance for days before my appointment and then when I came in said they had never called my insurance. She pushed back my appointment 2 hours because of their neglectfulness. Then I rescheduled for a cleaning and waiting an hour past my appointment time with no word from anyone at the dentistry about the wait. I wish my insurance was taken in more places in Durango because I would make a different appointment in a heartbeat. After my dental work is. Done I will never recommend this place to anybody. Awful front service, communication, and neglectfulness to patients.

The redeeming factor is that once you pass the front desk (if ever you do) the Dentists and dental assistants are sweet. But the front desk is staff needs some major customer service training and an attitude check.

Staff is friendly and the dentist was very understanding about the anxiety I have related to dental visits and offered me something to help with anxiety.

I had a long wait, followed by a young male dental assistant who seemed unsure of himself while he took X-rays. He didn’t clean or polish my teeth. I was there for a check-up, so after he took x-rays, he said he would go get the dentist. A dentist came in, who was not the dentist I specifically made the appointment with. He gave no explanation as to why he was the one seeing me. He did some scraping to clean plaque from my teeth, while the assistant very awkwardly suctioned. Water was spraying all over my face,
and he said he would give me a paper
towel when they were done, but he didn’t. Not a good experience at all. I have had better experiences there in the past with different assistants and dentists.

Comfort Dental is amazing! I have never liked going to the dentist but I have no problem coming here for my cleaning. Everyone is always so nice and I feel personally cared for. My dentist gives me advice and encouragement to keep my teeth healthy so I don’t have to come in again and it works! The equipment they use avoids the horrible teeth scraping and poking of gums and makes everything extremely quick. My most recent visit was quick and pleasant and I encourage everyone to come here!

Staff was punctual, polite, attentive, and skillful. I appreciated gentle cleaning with frequent check ins on my comfort and careful attention to my sensitive gums and teeth. Highly recommend!
