Pueblo Pediatric Dentistry

My step children love this practice, staff, decor, the whole 9 yards and we're excited for their appointment... but the organization with our last appointment was not ok. I called just over 2 weeks before to confirm the appointment time, told one date and time then. The day of the appointment no one was in the office at the time the appointment, got a call 15 minutes after the appointment time. "Well you didn't confirm your appointment a few days before and had us at a different time"(pushed our appointment back because the dentist drives so far to the office, they do not show up if the appointment was not confirmed), so the staff were told to come into the office late. Yet because it was not confirmed a few days before, it was almost like a no show, we we're not comming, and they can fill that slot. I was never told if this policy when we first started, so that is unacceptable, requiring multiple confirmations for an appointment. I'm very dissatisfied with this offices orginization!

The best thing this office did was hire a poor office manager who never returned phone calls. I would call weekly. My son had an initial exam with Dr Mike where it was discovered he had cavities. I REFUSED to sign an open consent to restraints at any given time in the office, even for a routine cleaning and they are not good with children. Instead of talking my son through something in the exam, they were just like well, you won't let us tie him down and he won't cooperate. He's THREE and it's his first dentist visit. Dr. Mike said my child had 6 cavities and when I tried asking questions, he would get up before I was done talking and then have to sit back down to finish listening to me. He was very impatient. There were so many red flags. He also considered my child a candidate for in office sedation, despite his asthma. I got so fed up, because this office has no idea how Tricare works and could never return a phone, I gave up. I took my son up to an office in Springs and it couldn't have been better! They talked my son through everything, gently, calmly, and on his terms. The dentist was extremely willing to listen to my concerns and explain things. My son even allowed them to get bitewing Xrays. There was absolutely NO mention of restraints for a routine exam, and it turns out, he only had two cavities! It also turned out, with his asthma, he was not a candidate at all for in office sedation. We chose a pediatric anesthesiologist with our dentist in Springs and his cavities were filled. He even sealed the rest of his molars- and didn't charge us for it! I am SO glad this office has terrible policies and communication skills, it pushed me to find someone much better and I couldn't be happier. You couldn't pay me to come back to this place and I would never recommend it.

Dr Mike and his staff are excellent and I trust in the dental care that they have provided for our children. My son had a cavity filled today and Dr Mike's work is so smooth and gentle that my son had no idea that a needle was used to numb the area. The fillings also look great.

I take My daughters here. The Staff and The Dentist are Great. I recommend them 💯. There office is also very kid friendly and has great art work.

Dr. Jasina is amazing with our kids and always a happy fun visit with her. Thanks for all you do

The staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Olga shows interest in the patient. My only complaint is they did a procedure not covered by insurance without telling me first and then charged me $127 for it. Dr. Purcell never would have done that.

My kids look forward to going to the dentist! They can't wait! Every visit is fun and the staff is phenomonal! I have 3 boys ages 6,4, and 2 and they are full of curiousity and energy! The staff is engaging and enthusiastic in teaching the boys and answering their every question. We never have a long wait and that makes it nice. The atmosphere is fun and full of amazing murals. We recieve text reminders and birthday wishes. They are very organized. Dr. Mike is great as well. I highly recommend Dr. Purcell for your pediatric dentist! I wish I could see him myself :)

I gave a 1 star and thats for a 5 star staff. The doctor and assistants are great people very great with children how ever there is a gentleman there named Anton and anton has extreme issues with people who have Medicaid numerous times he came after us for money over xays that the kids did not need or my favorite the time I call to cancel one appointment mind you I had 4 kids appointments that day and called to cancel one this was at 830am one of my kids had tryouts for a sport and I could only reschedule her appointment well he wanted to charge me for that and instead argued with me that it was policy I asked if I could talk to someone else he continued to argue with me so I decided not to be treated like that and canceled all their appointments and look for a new Dentist even though the other staff was great it wasnt the only time he came after us for some money over some.

The staff was amazing and patient with our two kids!

The dentists here are honest and wonderful. They always leave my kids teeth looking and feeling amazing!!
