Coral Springs Smiles Dentistry

This is a long review, if you don't want to read the whole thing just know this: Huge wait time, unprofessional and unprepared staff, Dr. Anand is very rude, condescending and patronizing, and also may try to up-sell you on unnecessary procedures so she can make a quick buck. Do not recommend to anyone. See below for explanation.

I visited Coral Springs Smiles as a new patient on 1/30/17 for a basic cleaning and diagnostic x-ray.

Overall, it was an awful experience from beginning to end. My appointment was at 9:30 am; I arrived at 9:25 and began to fill out my paperwork, but was not called from the waiting room until 11:00 am. I understand that sometimes offices run behind, but an hour and a half is a bit much in my opinion. (The office opens at 9:00 am, how did they get so behind that early in the day, that their 9:30 appointment couldn't be seen until 11?) Crazy. To make it worse, the receptionist kept telling me it would be "soon" and then "10 more minutes" and then "Sorry, about 15 more minutes" and on and on and on. Really? If you're running very behind, be honest about it so your customers can decide if we want to wait or not. The waiting room was full of complaining customers. (I didn't leave the office until 2pm, a total of 4.5 hours there for a simple cleaning & x-rays- most of that time spent just waiting)

When I finally went back at 11:00 am, someone directed me to a dentist chair in a room and then just walked away without saying a word. The person doing the x-rays didn't come to see me until 11:25, so that was another half hour of just waiting. When she finally came in she didn't apologize for the wait, she just started with the x-rays. She wasn't rude to me, but she wasn't friendly either. I don't remember her name, but she was a hispanic woman. I found her to be very unprofessional, constantly leaving the room without saying anything, re-entering, and then leaving again for a few minutes. I don't know what was going on, but she came across as very disorganized and not ready to see me. While doing my x-rays she even started ranting to me about politics (even though I agree with her political views, I just thought it was an odd topic for a professional to bring up in a place of business).

I had to wait another 30 minutes after the x-rays before the dentist, Dr. Anand, came to see me. I found it very odd that the dentist evaluated me before the teeth cleaning had even been done. *The dentist was VERY patronizing, by asking me if there is an 'adult' around that she should be discussing my treatment plan with... when I am 21 years old and came to the dentist by myself and am paying for it by myself.* That was absolutely unbelievable to me. She then poked around in my mouth and told me that I would need a root canal, a *possible* second root canal, 8 fillings and an extraction/implant put in (I still have a baby tooth). She also tried to convince me that I needed braces (for TWO slightly crooked teeth- my teeth are very straight-looking otherwise) and a couple other procedures; wisdom teeth extraction, and surgery for gum removal.

I wasn't upset with her opinion of my teeth, but the way in which she discussed the issues. She used a very condescending tone, and I felt like I was a child being scolded for bad behavior. I also feel that she tried to up-sell me because I was paying cash. I have since been to TWO other dentist who completely disagree with the treatment plan she gave me. Both of the other dentists I went to told me I need 7 fillings, and an implant where my baby tooth is, but they both confirmed that I need NO root canals and neither of them suggested any oral surgery to remove any extra gum. Neither of the other dentists tried to sell me on braces, or additional unnecessary procedures like she did. I have since found a much better dentist to do business with.

BOTTOM LINE: Huge wait time, unprofessional and unprepared staff, Dr. Anand is very rude, condescending and patronizing, and also may try to up-sell you on unnecessary procedures so she can make a quick buck.

Took my kids for the first time to Coral Springs Smiles and they loved it!! The staff is so friendly and nice! There was no hassle with scheduling, everything was very coordinated, easy flow of things. Kids loved Dr. Anand! Made them feel at ease and said he was funny. Thank you for making my family smile today! You should be proud of your staff! If you care about professionalism, technique, courtesy, fun, real people, cost efficient dental care, then GO to the BEST, don't waste time with the rest! You OWE it to yourself to experience quality, caring professionals who go above and beyond for your time and money. Here you get it all plus amazing fun and off the charts friendly personnel from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. I despised dentists, now I love my friends at Coral Springs Smiles. My last visit, hats off, kudos, and extreme appreciation for Maria and Melissa and Dr Anand!!!!

Dr. Anand and her assistants were awesome. They are very attentive and caring. I have a huge fear of needles but I was able to relax because of the attention they gave me. They also offered me laughing gas which really helped the situation. I had a tooth that pulled that was so whacked! The process of extracting the tooth was fully explained and they also explained what they were doing and assured me that everything would be fine. I also got a bone graft done that will help with the implant later on. I am glad they offered me that procedure so I can be assured my bone is ready when needed. The prices are good too. It's a win- win. Dr. Anand is very good with her hands and her skills are amazing. I am very pleased so far. They have a great team. Also everybody in the office was warm and pleasant.

I have gone more than 15 years without great Dental care due to the pain and suffering involved. I have actually preferred pliers in the hands of my husband than go to a dentist. I have been a patient here for a year now. I am not only cavity free, they took the time to fix my smile! My husband actually dozed off during fillings. Its very relaxing to come here because I totally trust the team here. Never had a problem getting or changing appointments. The staff are friendly and respectful. I pass out their business cards everywhere as I highly recommend this place. Thank You for making my smile.

Everyone who works here is professional, courteous, and friendly. They do an amazing job with routine cleanings and fillings. I have been a patient here for 2 years now and wouldn't think of leaving. I am glad to be a patient of Coral Spings Smiles and thankful for my dentist, Dr. Anand.

My entire family comes together and we each wait for our turn so we can have Aurora clean our teeth. She is great and worked so hard to really clean my teeth that I want to take better care of them at home so I don't undo all her hard work. She explains the importance of home care that most of the hygienist are just too busy cleaning and forget the education part of it. She even demonstrates the flossing part/. I recently bought a electric toothbrush from her and it was best investment for my mouth. I don't miss too many area now. Dr Anand and Dr Collazo are the best dentists. They are even wonderful with my kids. My kids love them and have no fear of going to the dentist. The few times I've had to have a shot and Dr Anand gave it to me, I didn't feel the shot. I can't say enough good things about this practice. There is a little wait to schedule a regular appointment because they're so good this is the place everyone wants to go, but in an emergency they always find a way to fit you in the schedule. I recommend this office to everyone.

I feel like I'm part of a family at your clinic. I want to give a special kudos to the dental assistant who's taken care of me the last two visits. She's so friendly and excited about what she does, and she keeps the mood light and about as fun as a dentist's visit can be. I really appreciate how she "remembered my teeth" and made me feel proud for taking good care of them. (She even remembered to ask if I was using the "knot trick" with the floss for the gaps between my teeth.) As many mouths as she sees every day, that's just awesome attention to detail. Dr. Anand is incredibly polite and precise. She worked on my teeth with patience and determination to make the end result perfect. I had several black triangles that he successfully closed and left my teeth looking natural and beautiful. I could tell it wasn't easy for her the positions were difficult. Despite that she never became frustrated and rushed.

Coral Springs smiles are very friendly, nice and kind people to deal with. They will also make your visit comfortable and relaxing for sure. It always seems like they know the right things to say and what to talk about to make your visit there easier... It's a very great place to visit and they are really nice and sweet people...You will leave there with a beautiful smile all the time. They have an amazing hygienist that I like. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I feel completely safe and in good hands. I know that their level of expertise and care assures me of good dental care for the long haul. Do give it a try, you will be surprised.

Great modern place with wonderful staff they’re really skilled and easy to chat with. I also really love my dentist, Dr. Anand. She is really helpful, very realistic, and doesn't push things you don't need. Will keep coming so long as she is here!
