Optimum Dentistry of Coral Springs

I had the best experience at Optimum Dentistry. Dr. Santana is very professional and explained everything being done to me very thoroughly. Everyone in the office is very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this office!!!

I had a painful dental issue & called Optimum Dentristry & was seen the same day. The office is very clean, staff is friendly, professional and helpful & Dr Dennis was compassionate and explained everything thoroughly. I am a snowbird and when I am in Coral Springs, if I have a dental problem, I will definitely call Optimum.

Just visited Optimum Dentistry today for my initial exam. First I meant Yadi at the front desk, she was fantastic. Friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Next, Lena led me in for my x-rays. She likewise was a true pleasure. Very friendly. personable, experienced and respectful.
Next was Dr Santana. He spent a fair amount of time conducting my exam, and an equal amount of time going over the exam results and showing me individual teeth and problems that I had.
Yadi, did a follow-up with the treatment schedule and pricing for the schedule. she had also contacted my insurance company prior to my arrival and had an updated and complete price list of all approved procedures. That in itself was commendable.
The office itself is only one year old and looks like it was opened yesterday. Everything is shiny, brand new modern the equipment is state of the art from what I can tell and the people are fixated with cleanliness and covid protection.
Even though I only made one visit to the site I will use them and referred them to my wife I'd recommend them highly to anyone looking for a fantastic dentistry office that is not only professional, modern and clean but has a high sense of professionalism

Amazing staff! Our first visit with 2 children and the dentist was so friendly, as well as his hygienist. They made us feel very calm and informed us about their teeth. They were on top of contacting our insurance and making sure what our policy covered. Doctor gave us options and recommendations. We were very happy we scheduled appointments for the rest of the family. This is a new, clean, modern office at the walk in Coral Springs. They followed great covid protocols and we felt happy and safe. The office manager from the first phone call was on top of contacting our insurance and scheduling us. She checked our temperatures upon arrival and had all our paperwork ready for us when we left. I cannot say anything bad about this office, and we strongly recommend them.

Dr. David Santana and his lovely staff provides a pleasant, safe and trustworthy atmosphere at his well located and state of the art office.
I've just begun my treatment with them, but already got the confidence of a job performed with professionalism and care.

I am going to say the exact words I told Dr. Santana, "The best cleaning I've ever had, hands down", he's very detailed. As for the work he's doing replacing a crown, I didn't feel anything, and the temporary crown is perfect, they did it right there. The staff is excellent, great service. 100 % recommended.

New Update based on Dr's reply: I wait for 5 months because I need to confirm with other dentists what's the my real situation. And since it's been pandemic, I waited longer for all appointments. After 5 month waiting, all tests, procedures I finished, it confirmed that my situation is far less serious than what you told me or more accurately speaking, made me feel. I think I read another review today (from 2 months ago) who expressed the same feeling like me.

Also, for the four claims on my insurance:
For the first consultation, I didn't pay anything; on my insurance account, it says I shared $271.
Second time: I paid $422 (deep clean $182 + $240 - 4 teeth antibiotics injection); on my insurance account, it says I shared $108.
Third time : I paid $360 (deep clean $120 + $240 - 4 teeth antibiotics injection), on my insurance account, it says I shared $68.
Fourth time: I paid $392; on my insurance account, it says I shared $666.

However, based on all my other dentist's claims, how much I shared always are the same comparing to how much I really paid. If you need, I can send you the information from my insurance company. If it's necessary, I can go to your office and we can contact my insurance company together to confirm everything.

Update: Dr. Santana called me multiple times this morning. I missed his call, and when I called back he apologized and seems he cares about his patients. He offered me to go back to talk everything in details without charges. I won't go back any more, since I am not very convinced based on my past experience with him, but I changed my review a little bit. Below is the original review:

When I went to this dentist, it was 5 stars with 58 reviews, now it has 90 reviews still 5 stars. So I think I should share my experience for your reference.

I went to this dentist last year from November to December 5 times. The first time was for a consultation. The second and third times for deep clean, and last two for root canal and crown.

The first time, the lady at the front desk gave me a list with all treatments I will do with the price before and after the insurance. It seems really organized and clear, plus it's super close to my office, so I decided to give it a try.

However, every time I went there, they made me super anxious about my teeth. I do have bone loss problem, but definitely not as serious as they claimed after I went to multiple different dentists and periodontists. The second time the hygienist even told me I shouldn't use my front teeth to bite an apple.

Then when the dentist did the root canal treatment, he was so rough that I even felt I couldn't breath. When I went home I found out he didn't give me a temporary crown. I thought it's not a big deal and I was very busy at that time, so I didn't call them. After two weeks I went back to get the crown, they noticed the crown didn't fit anymore since my teeth probably moved. The dentist pushed it so hard trying to put the crown on my teeth. This is the first time when getting a crown that it hurt so much for me. I finally decided to find a new dentist. I should've done this earlier.

Another thing is that all claims with this dentist shown on my insurance account didn't matched with the real price I paid. But all my claims with other dentists matched. I am not sure this is normal or not, so just mention it here.

Also I feel the front desk lady is very controlling. I searched for other periodontists for a second opinion and asked for a referral from this office. She seemed really upset, and after I called multiple times she mentioned that they have a periodontist but I still searched elsewhere and I didn't finish the treatment with them in the referral email they sent me. I don't know why they feel I would go back to this office again.

I met some bad doctors which gave me a lesson that when I feel uncomfortable with a doctor, I'd better find a new one. And sometimes the 5-star reviews don't mean you can trust the place.

I started my day by accidentally breaking my molar 🦷, and thinking know what to do. I asked one of my coworker and she recommended Dr.Santana , let me tell you in less then 10 min I had a appointment ready the same day. When I got there the office was super clean and the staff was so wonderful and very polite. The Doctor was very nice he explained in detail what needed to be done to my tooth. I would highly recommend my friends and family to come their.Thank you again for being able to get me in .

They are wonderful, professional, and practical. The dentist did a wonderful job on my filling. He has great craftsmanship and I would fully trust if I had any other fillings to do. Clean and modern office too!
