Initially, my experience was good. After my first cleaning is when the issues began. I decided to bring my husband in-- they claimed his cleaning would be free with our insurance, BUT THEN because it was a "deep cleaning" the insurance only covered a portion and we were forced to pay the remaining balance. Fine, whatever. BUT, my husband was not even numbed during his deep cleaning (which was done in both our deep cleanings we had in previous experiences at other dentist offices), the cleaning he received was nothing more than a regular cleaning. But we were billed like he received a deep cleaning. Then, we requested that he only have regular cleanings done from then on, and they claimed that since they already submitted him as a "deep cleaning" patient to the insurance, they "could not" change him to a regular cleaning until they felt like they weren't necessary anymore. FINE. Whatever. (This was September 2017) But don't tell us the cleaning is free, when its not.
Then my husband and I spent approx. $2k (WITH INSURANCE) for a bunch of cavities that we had filled in February 2018.
I received a bill yesterday (July 12, 2018) for the services rendered in September 2017 and February 2018. I called and complained.. "why am I being billed?" I obviously paid immediately after the services were rendered, at least the portion we were responsible for. Nope. They are claiming 10 months later that the insurance didn't cover it. WHAT?
The receptionist, I believe her name was Sammy, was very rude, annoyed and clueless. She claimed that my insurance changed from PPO to HMO on December 1, 2017 and thats why the insurance didn't pay. How is that possible? The services were provided in SEPTEMBER. February, fine. But September? Really? I called my insurance provider and they claimed that since my plan was not changed until December, the September procedures WERE covered and WERE paid for by them. Also, we had A LOT of cavities filled in February 2018. I'm sure they would've verified that our insurance was no longer being accepted, seeing as how we had not been in their office for 5 months (September to February). Nope, they didn't even mention it.

I do not recommend this dentist office. It has been nothing but continuous billing issues and repeated failure to communicate with me, as their patient, regarding procedures and costs associated. Not to mention their failure to mention that my insurance was no longer being accepted by their office.

I've been coming here for a few months, I think that some of the people who are writing reviews are fairly immature in their opinion.

1. I called and made an appointment
2. They give you 100% consultation.
3. The work is amazing, and they explain each process.
4. They always call you and confirm if your going to make it to your appointment a day before (PLUS EMAIL YOU).
5. If your insurance doesn't cover certain things, CALL them first and ask. (You pay for your policy right?)

Other then that, I love the facility and the doctor is very nice.

There are many horror stories. We've all been through at least one at the dentist. This dental office seems to want to break that habit. Aside from seeing me on time, thus valuing my time, they treated me with the utmost respect and courtesy. I have been to MANY dentist offices, and this is the cleanest one I have seen, and their equipment and methods are state of the art. I viewed pics of my teeth and parts of my mouth I have never seen. The best part was the knowledge staff. They knew what they were doing and explained everything down to the last detail. I was initially worried when Tricare sent me here, as the government has a distinct ability to offer some of the worst healthcare to their veterans, but WOW was I pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend coming here and being part of the family.

I had such a bad experience at this place. I have been calling for the last two weeks to be able to make an appointment, and finally when the day gets here, they have no info about my insurance or asked me before about it. Receptionist at the place were very rude, lack of customer service. I guess they need more training to deal with customers. One thing on the phone, a totally different story in person.I am very sad that customer service in Miami is disappering.

I made an appt for my husband and myself. Over the phone before scheduling the appt I confirmed they accepted our insurance since I also work in the medical field. They even asked me for my policy # and confirmed they did accepted it, I even asked if we will have any patient's responsibility and was advised that the will run the insurance and let us know of any payment the day of the appt. Anyways, went to the office filled out all the paper work, made copies of the insurance and waited like 30 minutes in the process, ended up they DO NOT accept our insurance because is a different type of policy compared to the ones they do accept. They could have told me that over the phone when they asked me for my policy # etc. Instead we both wasted our time by going to the office while we could have made an appt with an office that would have accepted our insurance. Left the office really disappointed!

As a military family, we are getting ready to PCS away from the Homestead/Miami area so understand the difficulty of finding a good dentist, especially for the whole family. For anyone on the south side from Kendall or Cutler Bay area down to Homestead for Dental we got recommended to and whole heartedly pass on the same for the staff at:

Dr. Yanelys Guerra, DMD, FAGD is the doc in the network for Concordia. My wife and three year old son also went here too. They are known for their high standard of care, fixing issues from others mistakes, and the staff’s professionalism / friendliness. With two orthodontists in my family and having worked in an office before I can further attest to the high quality of both Doctors here and their staff. One of the best I’ve ever been to.
