I have been a patient of Dr. Guelpa's for over ten years. Although much has changed over the years, Dr. Guelpa's staff and quality of care have remained above the industry standard. At all times during my care, Dr. Guelpa has always taken the time to explain his recommendations and give options that are appropriate for my lifestyle and schedule. Whether I am there for a cleaning or a major procedure I am always greeted by his attentive and friendly staff. I wish I had this kind of care from my family physician.

I wish i could say that I had a good experience here, but to be honest not only was it uncomfortable but they also stole from me. I went in with a broken molar, needing a root canal. Before the root canal they had me pay for the crown ( I did not have insurance) but i paid out of pocket around 750.00 dollar. This happened April of 2018. Dr. Guelpa did prep work on my molar to get it ready for the root canal and put a temporary cap on my molar, I ended up with terrible and debilitating headaches from the work he did (it had something to do with the bite of the temporary cap, causing extreme pain which led me to having dizziness and visiting the ER! But he fixed it after taking another 45 dollars from me.) I attempted to get a scheduled root canal with the specialist that they recommended but the first time I called to schedule one, they would not take me due to having an infection on that molar. I went back to see him and told him what happened, he gave me antibiotics. I took them the infection went away, I called to schedule the root canal, now it was going to take 2 months before any work could be done. During that wait, I ended up with another infection on the molar. Went back to Guelpa and i told him please just remove my molar, I can't take it anymore. The pain was terrible, I wanted to die. Every single visit I had to pay 45 dollars for him to fix every issue he caused, and on top of that they would not listen to me, they wanted to just do everything but listen to me, I felt uncomfortable. The second time i got the infection on my molar, i went back to him, he made me feel like i was the worst person ever simply because I had another infection. I tried like heck to make sure i was caring for my teeth to prevent infection, and then he said to me, "I am going to give you another round of antibiotics but I can't keep doing that you just can't come and get a prescription every time." I said to him, that I personally do not care for antibiotics, they make me sick anyways. That was the last thing i wanted but unfortunately i had to take them. So, here it is 2019. I am still waiting for a phone call from his office to refund me my payment for the crown that i never received. I ended up visiting another Dentist in Woodbine, Pace. Best Dentist I have ever had, compassionate and caring. He performed an emergency root canal. I haven't had an issue since this man started working on me. I haven't had any infections, I haven't had any discomfort, he actually knows how to numb the area. (Guelpa couldn't numb me properly either.) So my new Dentist asked me if i had paid for a crown and I said yes, my new Dentist office tried to contact them to retrieve it or a refund and they basically told them that no, they were not going to do this based on the fact that i refused treatment from them. So my dentist office recommended that i called to get my refund for a service that was never given to me. I called and the receptionist said she would forward that request to the director of the office and I should receive a phone call back. Still no phone call from these people. I am not one to harass but I believe I have been patient and kind to these people that in my opinion took advantage of me, all of my savings poured into a company that hurt me instead of helping me. I did not even want to leave a review but due to the fact that they have not done the right thing, I am making sure I make others aware. I believe that they will do whatever it takes to get money out of people, especially if you do not have insurance, and probably that is why they treated me so poorly, because they didn't have an insurance company to steal from, so instead they steal from you. Still waiting on that refund a year later. Good Luck to anyone that visits this office.

Excellent dentist! Dr. Guelpa knows his craft and fully explained my options. His work has no peer in this area. For me he has created a natural and appealing appearance and smile for which I will always be grateful. I appreciated the pain free aspect of his work also. I have trusted my smile to Dr. Guelpa for over 17 years, and I have never been disappointed. I appreciate his comprehensive approach to dental care, and he is always willing to explain what he is doing before and during the procedures so I always understand what is happening. This is important to me, because it means I never get the common "dental chair anxiety" you always hear about. His office is very clean and his staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a dental emergency with an abscessed tooth two years ago and he even met me at his office on a Sunday morning to perform a procedure, so his dedication to his patients is phenomenal. I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Guelpa's practice and I recommend his impeccable dental care.

Dr Guelpa and his staff make you feel very comfortable and relaxed from the moment you arrive for your first visit. They explain everything to you and make you feel like you are part of their family. If you are looking for a dentist , then Dr Guelpa is an easy pick.

By far, the BEST dental experience I have ever had! Not only is Dr Guelpa the most outstanding Dentist in Pensacola, he provides all cosmetic dentistry options that has put a permanent smile on my all of the time.
His whole staff is courteous, professional and exceptional at what they do. I am moving to Texas in the near future but will be flying back for All of my dental needs.

The universe puts all kinds of people on our earth. Dr Guelpa is doing what he was meant to do. He is a perfectionist that obsesses over things like ratios and the technical details of what makes teeth visually appealing, long lasting and natural feeling. The entire office is fanatical about the satisfaction of their patients. They will literally hunt you down to make sure you are completely satisfied. Even on a weekend with a dental emergency. I would enthusiastically recommend them to a friend.

This was my first visit. They were very friendly and professional, but was referred to a periodontist which my insurance won't cover to have a couple of teeth pulled.

Dr. Guelpa is a fair but busy man. Gives health advice, runs his patient through the proceedure and process to the point of understanding, and gets to the point.

Unfortunately, his head office secretary leaves doing business with Dr. Guelpa at a serious lack of service. Rather than give patients options, the person who is supposedly to represent Dr. Guelpa's business interest is a cold, and careless woman who appears to not care for the image of Dr. Guelpa's services.

Just recently, I had fillings done with their service. I paid up front, and they provided an estimate for my insurance cost. Months later, I receive a bill from Dr. Guelpa's offices where an apparent mistake was made in processing insurance payment services.

I asked the secretary what was amiss and in stead of providing possibilities, she demanded I pay the bill I had just received days ago up front and threatened collection action if I had walked away without payment. Again, I had paid the up front costs with this lady not months ago, and she was willing to damage my credit just over asking about what could have happened.

I called my insurance company later and they explained there was a miscommunication in payment processing that would be corrected 15 days later.

Dr. Guelpa's service is ok, but his secretary makes dental visits not worth it. Don't trust in a practice that is willing to throw your person under the bus before exploring what could have gone wrong with the insurance company representing your interest.
