Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry

I moved to St. Augustine 6 years ago and did quite a bit of “dentist shopping” but wasn’t satisfied with any of them. Then I overheard some ladies in my water aerobics class rave about Dr. Haeussner and his entire staff at Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry. As soon as I walked in for my first appointment, I knew I had found my “home”. Dr. H is one skilled dentist! I literally almost drifted off to sleep while he was drilling one of my teeth to replace a crown. (This coming from someone who used to have such a dentist phobia that I would have to take a sedative before office visits). And his staff was just as warm and compassionate as he was. I am so grateful that I found this office.

Just had my first appointment here and I had a great time (I know, it sounds weird). The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hygienist Kasey had me cracking up the entire time. They were all very skilled and knowledgeable: Amanda in the front office had to delve further into my insurance issue, Kasey was thoroughly examining each tooth and my gums, and Dr. H examined and took the time to actually show and explain my x-rays and current recommendations. Each of them took their time, were cheerful, and seemed to really enjoy being there. I've been so used to moody dentist offices that I never looked forward to them, but now I will. :)

I was referred to Dr. Haeussner by a neighbor; and, that was the best piece of advice I have ever received! I knew that I needed some extensive work, and i dreaded the thought. But, after having about half the work done, I couldn't be more pleased or impressed! Dr. Haeussner is sooo gentle and it seems like he gets the problem taken care of very quickly.....as if the College he attended taught him "special tricks"!
And Dr. Haeusnner 's support staff is also amazing. Considering the fact that much of an office visit is spent with assistants, they heavily influence the patient's experience.. Starting with Amanda at the front desk to Amanda and Kim in the back, I was treated with skill and compassion.

I have been a patient for several years now. I love the fact that they offer the opportunity to have an after-work appointment which makes it great that I don't have to take off time from work. And as the staff are great, it's a nice way to wind down at the end of a busy day. Always look forward to going. My wife likes having a day appointment and because they don't overbook, they run on time so there is never a long wait. Not everyone can say they thoroughly enjoy their time with their dental hygienist, but Cole' is great.

Dr. Hosner and his staff are second to none. They are flexible with scheduling and work with their patients as individuals. Also with my dental coverage, his co-pays are very reasonable. His two hour and 15 minute crown procedure is exceptional. One comes into his office to have a crown and in 2 hours 15 minutes the crown is complete and the patient is ready to go about his or her business for the day! They also schedule after hour appointments on Tuesdays. So one does not have to miss work to get a dental appointment. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

I have been so happy with this group. The staff is so very pleasant and helpful.
Lisa does a great job cleaning my teeth and Dr. H is so very gentle when he works on my teeth.

I had a cavity and an infection, I had been looking around St Augustine for a practice that had since moved. I called Ponce De Leon Family because it was located close to the previous practice I had been looking for. Dr.Haeussner had me in the very same day as I called for an examination. Upon examination I was prescribed a medicine for my infection. The very next day I had 2 fillings done. They were very fair with the pricing and the staff was very polite and communicative. If you don't "have a dentist", Consider seeing Dr.Haeussner. I can only recommend you give them a try before anywhere.

This is definitely the best dentist office I have ever been to. I have had some really bad experiences with dental offices. Dr. Haeussner and his staff are very professional and friendly. They never pressure or try to sell you anything you do not need. The office setting is very relaxing and welcoming. I will use this dentist office for a very long time.

This is the best dental office I have ever been to. Dr Hausner is not only incredibly skilled and down-to-earth, but also very trustworthy. Unlike other offices, you can totally trust his recommendations. He does not advise extra or unnecessary work. He’s fair and practical. The staff is all warm and welcoming. The office is beautiful and comfortable. It feels more like you’re visiting someone’s home rather than a dental office. I’ve also never had to sit in the waiting room for more than a quick moment.

Today I visited Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry and was amazed at the front desk check in process, the dental hygienist, and of course Dr. Haeussner. The amazing part other that a top notch office was the care provided. I have been going to a larger dentistry office near WGV and the quality and time spent with me was twice as the former place. They cleaned my teeth the best in years. Additionally Dr. Haeussner identified an issue that was on the xrays forwarded from the other office.
