Modern Day Smiles Dentistry

I have been a client of Modern Day smiles for well over 3 years. The staff and Dr. Patel have been amazing throughout the years. Very friendly and honest. The hygienists are very thorough and my teeth always feel super clean after they are done. I tried other dentists in the past and I am very happy with my change. I even drive all the way from Brandon (45 minutes) because of how Dr. Patel and the staff treat me.

Love coming to Modern Day Smiles! Every time I’m here it’s almost immediately back to a chair, I’ve never waited longer than 5 minutes. Dr. Patel and his staff are great about thoroughly explaining things to me, they give me options and price all of my options to allow me to balance my health and financial needs. They’re also great about not talking too much to my husband who doesn’t like any medical procedures, they get him in and out without trying to engage him too much. The whole team is very gentle and patient with us, and that’s why we have been here for the past 7 years without delaying our dental appointments. Highly recommended for anyone who shies away from dental procedures.

This is truly the best dentist I have ever been too! They make me feel so comfortable and welcome no matter what the procedure is! I remember my first apt leaving thinking how lucky Iam to be a patient at modern day smiles!

Patel is the best dentist I have ever been to. He is honest and trustworthy and does an excellent job. His entire staff is professional and I left my appointment very satisfied , I needed a change and it's was for the best, I feel very comfortable happy of the job they do with me, I recommend anyone to them, keep up the excellent job u and staff ....

The office Staff, Dr. Patel and Dr. Solanski are the best. Karen has been my constant and I love her to pieces. They are very committed to making you feel comfortable. My whole family goes there.

Shout out to Patrick, the dental hygienist!!!! Ever since I started wearing Invisalign my teeth have become stained from coffee etc. I can’t believe how white Patrick got them again! Can’t stop looking at my pearly whites in the mirror. He was very through in his cleaning and knew exactly how to get around the Invisalign attachments. Definitely request Patrick if you can. He’s the best!

Everyone working here was amazing and very personable! I wasn’t stuck in the waiting room like in other places, my cleaning was quick and Patrick was also very informative. I’d recommend anyone I know to come here for any dental work and needs.

This office does not have their stuff together. My husband and I have been longtime patients since the practice was owned by Dr. Thomas O. Johnson. My husband had an appointment yesterday at 8am, but when he arrived it was a ghost town. It turns out that their office hours changed to 10am on Mondays and they moved his appointment to a different date. I asked why he was not notified and at first the girl said that the only number they had on file was an old land line from a home that we lived in 10 years ago. Update your records much? I asked her to update his patient profile and then she proceeded to tell me that they did in fact have his cell phone number on file and that they attempted to call and text him. My husband cannot recall ever receiving a call or text, but maybe they accidentally called and/or texted the old land line?

This was not the first time I had issues with conflicting appointment dates/times with this office (and I am OCD thorough with these types of things), so because of the last time I made it a point to hang onto the appointment card this time. So glad I did or they would have convinced me that I somehow made the error. Last time, they said my husband "missed an appointment" and tried to charge a cancellation fee. Both of us had no record of it. I had to duke it out with them and they ended up waiving it as a "one-time courtesy".

I explained my frustration over all of this to the girl on the phone, but instead of being apologetic she gave me attitude. I asked to speak to her manager but it turned out SHE WAS THE MANAGER. All I can say is WOW.... But, I understand that good help is hard to find these days and businesses are forced to fill key positions with unprofessional, unskilled, uneducated workers.

Sadly after 20 years, we are taking our business elsewhere to a more professional establishment.
