I wanted to like this place, but that wasn’t the case. I will give some details about my experience during my two visits at the office. I was very happy with my previous dentist, however, my insurance changed and I had to find a new one. I think everyone can relate to how nerve racking that can be once you find someone you trust and have a great experience with. So, I googled online and found this dental practice. First I would like to say that the staff is nice and friendly. However, the wait times are horrible. If your dream is to spend all day at the dentist watching divorce court, then by all means this is the place. My first visit wasn’t too bad. I was a new patient, completed forms and was back in the chair within 20 mins. I didn’t realize that there is only 1 dentist (which is not a problem) and there are NO dental Hygienist (the worst problem) that cleans teeth. The dentist actually cleans everyone’s teeth. Therefore, if there are multiple people in the office, you have to wait until she is done with the other patients, or she goes back and forth between patients (which always worry’s me bc of cleanliness or sanitary reason...changing gloves, washing hand etc.). My cleaning took about two hours (normally this should be an hour tops and has been the case in my past experience at other practices). I felt the cleaning was okay, but didn’t seem as thorough as my previous dentist (that clean feeling..hard to explain). Anyway, I had to have some follow up dental work done, so I scheduled that to be completed the following week. This is where I completely made up my mind that I will NOT be returning. My second experience was horrible. My appt was for the afternoon. I arrived a little earlier hoping that I could get seen sooner since it took awhile my last visit. However, I waited for almost A full 30 min after my scheduled time. I literally was in that office for 5 hours to get 2 fillings done. Never in my life has it taken that long! If I was a single girl with nothing to do, and no responsibilities then I wouldn’t mind hanging out. However, I’m a mother with a family, and being at the dentist for a routine procedure for 5 hours after working all day, is not how I want to spend my evening. Very inconvenient! But, because she had another patient, she had to go back and forth between us, which was annoying! The way she injected my gums with medicine was painful once I was numb and she came back in to check on me she gave me more medicine before she worked on me and jabbed the heck out of my gums. Honestly, after the first filling was done (took over an hour to complete 1 side) I really wanted to leave and just get my other side done at another time, but I really couldn’t see myself wanting to come back to get it done and go through all that again, plus I already paid so I was stuck. I left there with my gums so bruised and sore. My gums felt that way for almost a week and a half afterwards and it was painful to eat. Also, during the procedure, I had to wear a tongue guard that killed my jaw (no other dentist in the past has done this) I was so disappointed and couldn’t believe I paid to be in that much pain. I took pictures of my gums and couldn’t believe it! Anyway, I wrote all this to save someone else time and from having a not so pleasant dental experience.

My family and I have gone to this dental office for approximately 2.5 years however customer service is highly important to me when I'm doing business with a provider. Equally as important if not more is the way my loved ones are treated during an office visit in which a practitioner will work with them physically whilst being in a vulnerable position of being in a dental chair on their backs. Trust, care and chair side manner is key.

While the dentist is skilled medically, she has a chair side staff member that is and always has been very and short in her communication with me as the paying customer. Of which I tolerated.

Unfortunately, during a recent visit she spoke to me with regard to my husbands treatment plan in an manner that was rude, embarrassing and disrespectful.

I would suggest that you not patronize this establishment if you value your dignity I would further suggest that Dr. Vilva evaluate this young lady's tact and chair side manner as she is much too talented and nice of a person to allow this individual continue to tarnish her practice.

Dean family.

Update: Dr. Valva called me with regard to my review. We discussed everything and she asked that we give it some time and come back. I agreed after speaking with her. Four months later I obliged and called the office. The receptionist seemed to gloat in denying services. I explained the conversation as mentioned above and asked to speak with the Doctor to ensure there was no miscommunication. She did not instead face simply repeated the denial process she mentioned previously.

There will more than likely be a politically correct manner in which the Doctor will address my update of review. However what I have stated is true. Just be mindful that this is a private practice and that they can be very juvenile in their actions as it regards patient interaction.

Do not waste your time as I would have left four months ago as I initially intended, prior to the Doctors call of which I “thought” was genuine. At this point the Doctor and her staff are toying with the care of individuals.

I don’t wish to place my family in that type of care, I advise you proceed with caution.

I would give zero stars but the minimum is 1. The dentist is rude and money hungry. They lie on paperwork to obtain Medicaid payments. I took my children and they said their last visit was 2018 when it was 2021. Very unprofessional and ghetto. Then they closed their doors at 2pm for unknown reasons. It is 2:05 as I’m making this post and they closed down and put me out of my appointment because my phone rung.

Worst dentist ever!! Would’ve gave less than one star.

My comment is not fake I don’t have to be a patient to know how you treated my family when they received services. I have never heard of or seen a professional act in the manner you did. My opinion is very legitimate. You are rude and inconsiderate of your patients needs.

This practice is amazing! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They take their time to make sure you are comfortable and at ease. Dr. V is extremely knowledgeable and makes sure each patient understands what is going on regarding their treatment.

I had an appointment three weeks ago and was told to get in contact with my insurance to have them to approve my next check up. I got in contact with them and they told me that they issued a check out already and the office should receive the check 7-10 business days. They have the check but haven’t called me back to schedule my next appointment. This is unprofessional and let’s not forget when I did my exam on the first appointment it took forever to get the doctor to come do my exam. I went in at 11:00a.m. and did not leave until 2:00p.m.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Went there and they tried to sign me up for $20,000 worth of work. I could tell they were desperate because of no other customers. Very sloppy people and then when i didn't want to get their over price work done they make up Bill's and send them to collections. Very unprofessional and I'm surprised they are still in business. I will be filing complaints with BBB. Dont let them take advantage of you.

I love Dr Vialva. She is friendly and talks to you while working on you. I’m adult and still uneasy about the dentist but she lightened my mood

Dr Vialva is the best in my opinion, she makes me feel very comfortable and that's saying a lot as I truly don't like going to the dentist, but since I've been going to Signature Family Denistry I gladly keep all my appointments!

Dr. Vialva is an excellent dentist. She took the time to explain every procedure she was doing. For example, when I got my implant, Dr. Vialva was very supportive, and thorough when explaining the process. She is a professional and has a naturally lovely personality. I would recommend Dr. Vialva to everyone. She is the best dentist I have ever had.
Mr. Hill and Ms. Leaks you should really give this dentist another try.
