North Atlanta Family Dentistry

This dentist is extraordinary in the literal sense of the word- they provide a patient centered experience and a quality service I am not used to receiving lately, in a medical setting or almost anywhere.

The doctor was accessible, approachable, and skilled. He took the time to tell me what he was going to do and why, in addition to having excellent technical/clinical ability. Everyone in the office was super friendly and warm, from the dental assistants to the office staff/schedulers. The office was clean and comfortable. Scheduling an appointment was quick and easy, and the communication was excellent. I cannot recommend this office highly enough, and I’m glad I found them!

My appointment began on time (which I feel like is very rare anywhere these days!) and the front desk staff were friendly. The dental hygienist was thorough and great at explaining what would be taking place at this visit since I hadn't been to see a dentist in years. When Dr. Vargas came to assess my teeth she was efficient and to the point. I felt like I had no unecessary wait times and that the staff was extremely informative and prepared me for what my immediate future visits would look like. Loved the communication and promptness. Thanks guys!

I have never been more happy with a dentist office. They are so talented and to top it off they are the most kind bunch I’ve encountered. I feel like they truly care about how I feel about my teeth and they provided options and a plan to take care of me. I’m so thankful my sister found them and referred me.

Spectacular! Everyone, during every step. I can not say enough. It was a 3 hour appointment. I wanted to use up an insurance that was about to end and have a lot of things going on. The office staff was positive, caring and went out of their way. The dental hygienist had a great personality and was efficient. The dentist was remarkable. Reading my queues and always asking me if I was doing ok. The lady who helped the dentist during the crown prep and fillings was wonderful. When I finally admitted I was cold, she immediately went and got me the cutest unicorn blanket! Thank you!

I would give this practice 10 stars!! Working in dentistry myself for over 20 years, I can say from experience that the practice is nothing but stellar front desk to the back office and everything in between. My hygienist Jessica provided five star service and Dr. Stanley provided top notch service as well. He and his team are professional and thorough from start to finish. No questions left unanswered. I highly recommend them for all your dental needs.

I had the absolute sweetest dental hygienist. She talked me through everything that she did and made me feel great even though I haven’t been to the dentist in over 5 years. The dentist was also amazing. So glad I chose this office!!

What great service at north Atlanta family dentistry. Dr. Stanley is the absolute best! The office staff is beyond amazing, especially Brenda - they really know how to make you feel at ease and go above and beyond. Best in the area for sure!

Stay Away

I had to wait two months for an appointment.

I showed up today with my wife for the first appointment. I have Blue Cross Blue shield insurance.

Upon arrival, I was told that my insurance was out of network and that it would be $340 ($170 ea) for a basic cleaning and x-rays. (Preventative work)

The main takeaway:

It's not about the money. It's about the client experience.

I scheduled an appointment 2 months ago and upon scheduling they confirmed that I was in network.

On the day of the appointment at 830am I was told that they received confirmation at 7am that I was out of network.

They had two months to call me and tell me I was out of network. They waited to the day of the appointment and informed me upon arrival.

I can't help but wonder if they couldn't pay attention to detail on my coverage and waited last minute for confirmation. How much attention to detail they pay when doing major dental work?

Everything happens for a reason.

Stay away...

For a place called Smile Georgia, the receptionist and front office staff really struggle to provide a pleasant customer experience. The receptionist specifically is borderline rude. No smiles there, thats for sure. Dr. Stanley is great. I have been driving 35 minutes one way to see him for 2 years. But, unfortunately the office screwed up my appointment twice in a row (months apart) and were very non-apologetic and actively rude about it both times. Additionally, they called to confirm my insurance information prior to the latest appointment. I was asked to call back with it before I arrived and tried twice and didn't get an answer. Then when I got to the office the receptionist acted put out and was extremely rude like it was my fault. I won't be going back. A doctor is only as good as the staff that supports their patients.

All of the staff were super nice and went out of their way to make me comfortable, which was very reassuring as dentists usually make me nervous! 10/10 would recommend this to any of my fellow dentophobs.
