I had the best experience today! I was incredibly nervous and in a lot of pain going into my initial appointment with them. Everyone from the front desk, to Bree ( I believe is her name) , to Dr. Patel, and Memphis were so very nice and welcoming. I definitely have found a dental home. The space is kept very clean and professional. I was thoroughly impressed, 10/10 do recommend!!!!

Staff were very nice and informative. The dentist was nice and very careful and fast. He asked if I had any questions for him which I’ve almost never been asked that so I truly appreciated that! If I didn’t live so far I would always go to that location!

I was not happy with the experience at all. The woman who took me back spent more time talking to whom I can only assume was an off duty employee than helping me find where I was supposed to go. She didn’t speak or introduce herself to me but spoke in detail about the woman’s shoes and how she would be heading to get some after work. I don’t know her name because of course she didn’t introduce herself. She acted like she was offended when I told her my teeth hurt and was upset that I didn’t have a specific reason. The dentist was pleasant and had I only dealt with her I may have had better things to say. I was completely off put by this lady and barely stayed there 30 minutes and have no intentions of ever returning. The receptionist was very nice as well. Don’t get me wrong the place was beautiful for a dental office and all besides this one lady I’m sure it’s a great place.

The dentist and her assistant made me feel very comfortable. The dentist took her time and explained what would happen. And I love the jolly and happy attitude the dentist had, I loved it. Thank you so much!!

Hiram Center for Family Dentistry gave me a comprehensive progression treatment plan. Initially, I came to this practice to get a second opinion, on denture implants. Dr Aimee and dental hygienist Gina, told me that my teeth are worth saving and advised me not to go that route, at a fourth of a cost of dentures implants. I would have paid $60,000. They would have knocked all my teeth out (not saving the bone) and implanted in two denture plates into my mouth. Hiram Center for Family Dentistry has state of the art technology, the knowledge and professionalism to save my smile, bone structure and money. Today, having completed phase two of my treatment plan, saving three teeth and a lot of pain. I owe a Huge Thank You to Dr Aimee, Miss Gina and all her staff for showing me the compassion and care of their passion of for Dentistry. Sincerely, Robert Keith Miller

I debated whether I should leave this review or not, because while all of my past experiences at Hiram Center for Family Dentistry have been great, my experience today was awful, painful and disturbing.

For context, a few months ago I had a scaling and root planing procedure done. It's a relatively painful procedure even with the numbing agent they use, as they essentially insert a sharp tool below your gums and scrape repetitively. Not fun at all *but* the lady that did the procedure on both days was phenomenal and went above and beyond to be gentle, friendly and precise. 10/10.

Today, I had a follow-up cleaning and the hygienist was not the same person that did the deep cleaning. This may sound silly, but it legitimately felt like someone was angrily washing dishes in my mouth. It was the exact opposite of my last experience - extremely impersonal, rough and honestly worrying. When a tool would go into my mount to reach my molars, she was so careless and imprecise that it would hit my front teeth on the way in. When cleaning, scraping, etc, it felt haphazard and reckless. The only words spoken during the procedure were "turn" and "close". Not "Hey how are you doing today? I see you're here for a perio follow-up, here's what that entails" etc. Not even the classic "are you flossing regularly?" question. It was just silent and super uncomfortable. It was so bad that I would gladly suffer through the deep cleaning a hundred times before being subjected to whatever just happened there today.

I explained my experience to the ladies at the front desk, and while I was absolutely furious (who wouldn't be?), they handled it perfectly. I did not raise my voice and make a big scene, as that doesn't help anyone or make the situation any better, but I certainly did describe the magnitude of my disappointment. I made sure to let the ladies at the front know that I was not angry with them at all - or really anyone else there - as everyone has always been awesome, except for whoever did my cleaning today.

An office manager called me shortly after I left and she apologized for the experience, though she said it may have just been the "style" I didn't like. I was also told that the ladies at the front were offended that I was extremely upset, which is pretty much the last thing you want to hear after such a traumatizing experience - I offended someone for being angry at PAYING to be treated so terribly? I'm sorry, but no one should be sitting in that chair wondering if a tooth is going to be accidentally knocked out or if I'll experience permanent gingival tissue damage. I was also told that I should've spoken up if I felt uncomfortable. Maybe, but to be fair, that's kind of difficult when your mouth is wide open and your teeth are being cleaned. After having such an awful experience, the last thing you want to hear is how YOU did something wrong.

The whole thing was just so far removed from any of the other experiences I've had at Hiram Center for Family Dentistry, and for that reason, I don't recommend you go there. There's a good chance you'll be seen by someone professional and courteous, but while there's even a slim possibility of experiencing what I went through today, go somewhere else. It just isn't worth the risk to your teeth, gums or mental health.

I made an emergency appointment for a tooth extraction. An hour before my appointment, I received a call asking if I could reschedule due to the doctor needing to leave early. Once there, X-rays were done and then I was told that I would need to see the oral surgeon since my tooth was broken to the bone and in case I needed a bone graft during the extraction???? I was told that due to the doctor that examined my X-rays, it would be an “automatic referral” out of office???? I asked the office manager why and her response was “it’s only because of the provider you saw” ??? No idea what that meant or what was going on but I didn’t even have the option of seeing someone at their office after dealing with the Doc I saw. Went right over to Aspen and had it pulled same day without issue

I had to have a tooth pulled because it was broken halfway off. Everyone at Hiram Center was very nice and made me fill at ease. Because I don't like pain. They made sure that my mouth was plenty num so it wouldn't hurt. I am very grateful to them. Thanks so much.

I love the service there at Hiram Family Dentistry. So much so that I have made an appointment for my elderly father to start dental care there. Look forward to them continuing the great service and care with him as well.
