Atlanta West Dentistry

West Dentistry is honestly the best dentistry that I’ve personally ever gone to. The team inside are all incredibly kind, professional and strive to make the experience for their patients as comfortable and painless as possible. Everything is done with a quickness while still being super efficient and meticulous.

I can’t recommend them enough for anyone that is looking for an excellent dentistry to call home.

I've been coming here for the last 2 years and am so happy I found them. The office is super clean and the staff is always kind and welcoming. Dental visits are not my favorite, but the team at Atlanta West Dentistry makes me look forward to going because I know they will do everything to make me comfortable no matter if I'm in for a cleaning, filling, or other procedure. If you are seeking a better dental experience, this is it.

**EDIT: The office promptly refunded the membership fee and canceled the membership. My son did have a good experience so I am giving 4 stars. Thank you. I would give 5 but for 2 years in a row I've had to deal with this inconvenience.
This is now the 2nd year in a row that I was automatically charged $400 for the dental membership after I asked every year to cancel the membership and no longer charge my card. I am not a patient there and never was. This was for my son to get some dental work. He is now an adult and no longer lives with me. I had my son request that they not run my card for the membership and I have called and they end up crediting my card. This is a pain in the rear to take the time to finally talk to someone about getting this resolved!!!
I left a review last year about the problem and they somehow removed it.

This was my first visit to Atlanta West Dentistry and the experience was GREAT! I have a fear of dentist so I put off going as long as I could. They made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Dr Bowersox, Roger and Robin were amazing and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Atlanta West Dentistry!

Beth is the best!!! Although I’ve never had a sour experience dealing with anyone at AWD. The Staff and Doctors are amazing. I am so grateful that Beth is my hygienist. She is so personable and a pure joy to be around. I appreciate that she tells the best stories, provides great teeth & gum health tips, and keeps me smiling the entire visit. Thanks Beth for making me feel so comfortable an appreciated over the years. 🤗💜

So some background: I have always been terrified of going to the dentist (I have some pretty terrible horror stories from various different locations) and also have a low pain tolerance (due to extremely sensitive teeth) as well as a huge aversion to needles (I will pass out on sight or even thinking about them!).

I transferred from an okay dentist practice in Woodstock to this location due to this one being closer to my house and having better prices (and reviews). From the second I came into the office to have my "intro" appointment I felt welcomed and at home. The staff were all very attentive and friendly and asked for details on my anxiety (I have diagnosed severe anxiety) as well as my fears.

My next appointment I had about 9 (?) cavities filled all at once (I had not been to the dentist in about 8 years due to my Mom delaying finding an office that accepted her insurance). This was the first time I had ever had something like this done and I was extremely nervous. I was given laughing gas (a must for me) and Dr. Bowersox and her assistant DID AN AMAZING JOB. Due to the amount of cavities I was having filled and their locations, I had to get multiple shots in my mouth. I never once saw any needles (they cleverly hid them from me and distracted me by talking to me) and my mouth actually didn't hurt at all the following days after.

Ever since then, every time I have gotten any cavities filled this has been the outcome. Even when I had a filling fall out, they saw me the very next day to fix the issue and didn't charge me for it.

I'm getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth out this Friday and I've never had surgery before and despite this, I know I am in the very best hands. Knowing that I have a team taking care of me who actually listens to my concerns (instead of making me feel childish or ignoring them like other practices) is so comforting and has actually made me not scared of the procedure at all! The only thing I'm worried about is my own ability to care for myself after (lol)!

I can seriously not recommend a better dentist practice. Every single person that works here is absolutely incredible, cares about not only their work but their patients, and there are so many different options to help people who are scared of the dentist (anxiety medications for before the appointment, laughing gas, and more!). EDIT 5/24: Bianca (not sure if I’m spelling her name right) did my cleaning today and it’s the first time I’ve had her. She was very sweet and made my anxiety go away immediately. I’m pregnant now so I can’t take any anxiety medication or use the nitrous and my gums are extremely sensitive and she was so gentle and constantly checked to make sure I was okay. This further cements that everyone that works here, from the desk staff to the hygienist to the heads of the business, are all extremely kind and care about their patients!!

I had an exceptional visit today with Beth. My teeth feel so nice and clean and she was very gentle. Dr Bowersox is so sweet and does an exceptional job as well. I would highly recommend Atlanta West Dentistry!

Dr. Watson is amazing! He gave me a beautiful smile and my confidence back. I could never thank him enough for what he has done for me. All of the staff at Atlanta West Dentistry are equally as amazing. They are all professional and exceptionally kind. I’ve never had treatment at a dental practice like this. I don’t feel like just another patient when I am there. It’s truly an EXPERIENCE and I’ll never go anywhere else. Thank you to the AWD crew for changing lives and doing it so graciously! A+++

I have anxiety and a fear of dental visits. I chipped a tooth so was forced to go. Luckily I found Atlanta West Dentistry. From the first virtual consultation with Dr. Bowersox I had a feeling everything would be ok..My first visit was wonderful. Everyone was extremely nice they make you feel like family. Everything was clean and they kept cleaning. I can't believe I'm saying this but I enjoyed this dental visit. 😁

Way above expectations!!!! As I have gotten older, my fear of dentists has increased proportionately. A friend recommended Atlanta West and while I was hopeful that I would have a good experience, I was still somewhat doubtful. I was completely blown away! Staff was friendly and so knowledgeable. Dr. Watson was terrific in making me feel at ease. From the initial office tour to the comfy waiting area, the attention to detail is wonderful. It was enough to make a chicken like me comfortable! Although Atlanta West is located 40 miles from my home, it's well worth the drive. My family and I have found a new dental home!
