This was the absolute best dentist I have ever been to. As soon as I walked in the atmosphere was so welcoming. From the front desk staff to the dentist assistant. I'm a little surprised this place is still open. Searching for a dentist that accepts Amerigroup(Medicaid). I went here a year or two ago for a simple cleaning as I have gotten every year or two for my entire life. Staff was friendly but I never received a cleaning. A tech looked in my mouth and proceeded to poke my gums all over with a metal stick while logging info on a computer. Then they gave me paperwork saying I had advanced gum disease and needed a procedure that costs well over two grand out of pocket. 1. I've never even had a cavity ever before, much less gum disease 2. I have Medicaid and can't pay $20 out of pocket for a copay, how would I be able to come up with $2k ??? 3. I believe they proceeded to bill my insurance for a cleaning which I never received.
I smell insurance fraud maybe? It's a shame they prey on the indigent.

Many problems we’ve had with billing. Mother has been told one price then another price two different times, one day it’s covered by insurance the next day it’s not. I have received a bill in the mail for unexplained costs after already paying copay in person day of service. Called insurance they said they had already paid full price dentist originally quoted. Seems like something fishy going on here. They need to be more streamlined with insurance and not be quick to bill the patient.
