I am very happy with hygenist. She is very good, and it's nice she is staying and not moving on.
They are very good at reminding you of appts.
However, I made appt for may 10 in January, to have cleaning, xrays and see dentist. When I arrived, they informed my dentist isn't working Friday's as of January. They should have contacted me so I could reschedule, rather than have to go back a second time to see him. That is over 4-months, so no excuse not to contact me.
Also, you have to pay upfront for your visit, but they won't print you out a detailed invoice until you are finished? So why not? You pay before you go in. This is a nuisance, because now you wait again to see receptionist rather than just leave.

Kind office employee's, caring and professional attitude of the Dentist, Dr. Chris and Raven the hygienist was so wonderful. My daughter really enjoyed the visit.

Dr. Ameer is a wonderful dentist he always does his best to make you feel comfortable when getting a procedure done. I was feeling scared and very nervous he asked what type of music I liked and played Hawaiian music and made my visit very easy. Thank you Dr. Ameer and dental team!!!!!

Not pleased at all with the service. They lack a good bedside manner and always try to upsell the treatment plans with the most expensive options. It's like you're dealing with a pushy waiter trying to sell you the $60 Steak and lobster when you wanted the $25 Chicken dinner. I do not recommend this clinic. Choices are limited on such a small island but I would try to find a private practice.

Took both my boys 7 and 20month mo. Old to see dr kerns today. It was our first visit, so we had paperwork to do, for 2 kids. Sherlynn and Sheena were so helpful and made the process easy. She explained about their wonderful family plan which we signed up our whole family for it. It will save us so much money in the long run. The wait was short, the office is pleasant and they have a cute waiting room for kids. Once we were called in, Kyron our dental assistant made the boys feel safe and comfortable during prep and X-rays . Then it was time to meet dr kerns. What a sweetheart!! She was playful and loving with them. Cleaning done without tears and they even got goodies to take home! I’m so glad I found this center. Happy mama! Now it’s time to schedule my own visit and cleaning. Thank you Hawai’i family dental Lihue team! Big mahalos to all of you!!

LOVE this place! from the front desk to back my visits are always pleasant had a great cleaning with barb shes very gentle and informative always gives great advice on home care. Dr godla's work is impeccable got resin fillings done with him and my teeth look and feel better then they ever have , pain free always checks on you from start to finish felt very comfortable. my son coming from a history of bad dental experiences see's dr westphal and now ENJOYS the dentist both he and his assistant make the dentist a fun and friendly place! he clearly explained everything that needed to be done. would reccomend this practice to everyone.

My experience at Hawaii family dental
Was okay the staff was very kind and personable and attentive. However the Actual dentist Christopher Godla didn't have good vibes really.. Like he was looking down the whole time he was talking to me and he seemed flustered or annoyed or something.
And he didnt explain anything in a way someone could understand, he rushed through the whole appointment.
Dr. J.D Westphal on the other hand was very informative and detailed in explaining things and he made my son feel comfortable when he was there for his Dental appointment.

The care my twins received here was excellent! The dentist and hygienist were fantastic and they made swift and reasonable accommodations for my son who was afraid and refused to leave my lap.
