When you leave the office of a new dentist for you, and you feel you’re part of a family, you know you chose the right dentist! Thank you Dr. Edwards and Patty - you made my first visit a great experience.

Excellent care from Julie and Dr. Edwards. Recommend going to see them if you need a dentist or a teeth cleaning.

I had three fillings done at once in this office. One of them popped out while I was flossing, the the other two had voids or bubbles in the fillings causing extreme sensitivity. Extreme as in, even room temp ACT rinse would be painful. I couldn’t chew gum on the side of my mouth with fillings. I went back to the office over and over and over for weeks and months to get these problems addressed. Both Drs refused to redo my fillings because insurance will only pay for it to be done once. Instead, they kept tinkering with the height of the fillings and my bite. They even referred me to get a root canal done despite the cavity not being anywhere near the root - not sharing that after the procedure I also now need a crown. I say “they” because after I lost trust with Dr Ally, I saw her dad Dr John Meyers. Neither could successfully address my problems.

Before performing the fillings they didn’t show any xrays reviewing the teeth to be worked on. It’s my mouth, my insurance paying for everything and I was not treated like a paying customer but rather a body in the chair they had command over.

I eventually went to a different office who very graciously redid the terrible work I’d received free of charge.

I never understood why people had anxiety towards dental offices, now I do. I used to see dental procedures as a spa experience, now I struggle with trust and not being able to communicate while my mouth is numb, drilled in, and several hands hover over my face.

I waited and waited to write this review, but if anyone in my circle mentioned they were going to this office I would share the same negative review.

This office is fine for cleanings and regular checkups. I absolutely do not recommend them for even a basic filling.

UPDATE: all of my fillings done at this office have been replaced, many of them within two years which means insurance does not cover the replacement filling. I truly cannot understand where all of these positive reviews come from. Perhaps they are some of Dr John’s ragbrai friends...

Professional office, in every respect. Each person working there is patient oriented and cares about your concerns. The dentists work hard to solve your problems and answer your questions. Truly the best dentists I’ve ever had. I also appreciate their ongoing COVID protocols.

BEST teeth cleaning I have had in years. Thank you!!!! Professional, kind staff all around, and there is some pretty nice modern music in the waiting room to make the short wait pleasant while filling out paperwork. Great place! Great people.

Doctor Myers is by far the best Dentist I have Ever been to. Very caring and Very detailed on what needs to be done going forward.

I recently switched from my dentist office of 5+ years to West Des Moines Dental Center. I was very happy with how easy it was to submit my patient info from my previous dentist, and get set up with my appointment. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and my appointment started right on time.

Great experience, very attentive and professional staff, the best dentist service received in my life and in Iowa, l do recommend, l felt confortable and cofident, l found it online, l advice everyone to come and try it. Today, was my 1st time visiting the location and they are the best team, the office really nice, very clean, the last innovation in the equipment never seen. l give more than 5☆.

I have been a patient of Dr. Meyer and the West Des Moines Dental Center for over twenty years and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a dentist. From the front office staff, the hygienist and dentists, this is a very friendly and professional organization. And yep.....Dr. Meyer has always responded to emergencies even on weekends.
