I had to have five teeth crowned due to fractures from nickel filling procedures when I was a young adolescent. Dr. Mitchell did the majority of the crowns. She and her assistants were so compassionate and attentive to my stress and pain levels. They were very knowledgeable, skilled professionals. What I really noticed was every staff person in the building respected each other and spoke words of thank you, please, and asking each other “how they could help or assist “. They shared their knowledge, gave positive instructive advice to each other. Truly a wonderful, professional atmosphere! I highly recommend Derby Dental.

I am someone who is normally nervous at the dentist but I always feel really calm and relaxed here. I highly recommend this place for any kind of dental work, they always have super friendly and super informative staff. They always are very clear with what they’re doing, what you may experience and if you have any questions before they start working. Super quick as well, I went in today to get my wisdom teeth out and they got them out within 5 to 10 minutes after I was numb and gave me very clear printed instructions on taking care of afterwords as well as what I can and cannot do. I have brought my little sister here and boyfriend here for their dental work as well because I always have such a great experience. Love it here!

Second visit. The doctor did a great job! Staff was cordial and very friendly. The bill estimate was higher than the actual bill so that was a nice surprise. They accepted me on short notice. Had a crown replaced and the doctor fit it in perfectly and level and was fast! However, it was less than a gentle experience. My face is not elastic and I felt rather beat up by the end of it. I’ve had many fillings and crowns and never felt quite like this. My face and lips hurt tremendously after. I feel like some of the tools used were larger than my mouth could take. And I feel like the doctor and the assistants really need to pay more attention to pinching lips when they work. Not every thing is numb by the drug and there can be residual consequences as a result of mouth trauma like that that will persist for a week or more. No mercy. But they got the job done and did a great job.

I was sent over to this location from Wichita Family Dental because of a scheduling conflict for a root canal. Although things changed and I had to get an extraction, the staff here made me feel so welcomed! Jackson was amazing throughout my whole visit, giving me good advice on how to take care of it, as well as recommending his favorite pizza at Picasso’s :) Thank you for making a nervous experience a not-so nervous one!!

I really enjoyed the hygienist. She was extremely patient and helpful. The Dr was quick and efficient and hadn’t yet done any work on my teeth but seemed to want to help me with a very comprehensive treatment plan. The front desk insurance representative was also nice and efficient.

Ravyn was awesome. I had a rough experience on my first visit but she completely made up for it. She communicated well and listened to the needs I had for my care. She is the reason I will keep going back. Cons: I did not receive a smiley face sticker and didn't get to pic the color of my complimentary toothbrush, but she picked a good color anyway :-p

I had a very positive experience today. My dentist was amazing but Gaby C the dental assistant (I believe that's what her position is?) Was absolutely amazing. She really put my anxiety at ease and I really enjoyed her.

I was able to get in quickly to have them look at some swelling in my face and they were able to clear some of the swelling. There was an infection from a tooth extraction, so I'll have to go somewhere else but the staff at the Derby location have always been friendly and open-minded when I have gone.
I do warn others that the place is easy to miss coming down Rock but it's a good clinic.

As always, everyone at Derby Dental was VERY helpful. Dr. Mike listens and takes what I think into consideration. And, he and his assistants explain procedures thoroughly and with consideration for the patient (me). Thank you all for being the best dental experience I have had in years ! GOD Bless You All. 👍
