Timonium Family Dentistry

The staff is friendly, please do not let that fool you. I have been going to my regular Dentist for years. Move to Baltimore and found this Dentist provider Timonium Family Dentistry through my Insurance. I had an appointment today for a Cleaning the lady start to upcharge me. I left with out the cleaning, lost a loyal customer.

I received a welcoming and professional attitude from both front desk attendant, dental assistant and dentist. I’ve been serviced twice and both procedures, general cleaning and wisdom tooth extraction, was performed efficiently.

I had to have an old filling redone. I rarely have to have anything done other than routine cleanings. This was the worst dental experience I have ever had. During the process, my tongue was "nicked" in two areas. It is so painful. I don't understand what happened. Dr. Ali tried to talk to me but it was so chaotic in there, I could barely hear. I understand the renovation is happening; however, the staff needs to be more aware of how their behavior affects the comfort level of their patients. I don't think I will continue with this practice. I kept an open mind when Dr. Bloom announced his retirement, but if I have to start out with a new practice, I want it to be one that doesn't make my tongue feel like it's been through a meat grinder. Update: 6 days later and my tongue is still hurting, a lot. I am not happy, at all.

I had deep cleaning performed by Maddy (the hygienist). I received outstanding service. She was professional, polite and very skillful. Being a medical provider myself with very high expectation, Timonium went far and beyond and exceeded my expectation.

Absolutely a nightmare, I wish I could rate them 0 stars. The staff is disorganized and has no idea what is going on. Went in for a routine visit and determined that I needed a night guard. When I went back in to take casts of my mouth, Dr. Bloom was under the impression that I was there for a filling. After he took the cast, they supposedly sent it out to a lab to have the guard created, and scheduled me to come back a week later to pick it up. No one called me to tell me it came in, and if I had not called prior to leaving for my appointment I would have made the trip for nothing; they LOST the cast of my mouth. I had to schedule another appointment to have a second cast taken, only to pick up my mouth guard a week later to find that it didn't fit my mouth at all. The doctor INSISTED that it just needed to be worn-in, so I took it home and am in more pain than ever (The guard kept falling out all night because of the poor fit). Came in a third time for a new mouth guard and this time met with the other dentist on staff. There were no notes in the system so he had no idea what was going on. Once again, they told me they were sending it out to a lab. It has been weeks since I've heard anything about it and when I just called they told me it's there. When did they plan on telling me I could pick it up?? On top of all of this inconvenience I can say that seeing Dr. Bloom is one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. He has a serious personal space problem (I understand a dentist's job literally involves putting your hands in people's mouths but touching and rubbing your patient's legs is completely inappropriate!) Cannot wait to find a new dentist.

I love coming to Timonium Family Dentistry. Dr. Mo is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had. He is kind, funny, and remembers his patients. The staff is also friendly and makes you feel welcome. I’ve never had any problems here and the wait is always short.

Update: turns out that Dr. Mo did the right thing by trying to save my tooth from a root canal, but I don’t think he fully communicated the possible scenarios to me. I wound up needing a root canal and the dentist who did it confirmed that Dr. Mo was in the right. I just think he needs to work on his communication. Tell patients every move you are making when you’re working on them. “I’m doing this now”, etc. Let them know what the possible scenarios are to look out for when they are finished getting worked on.

Office staff is great, but the patient on here who gave the 1-star review who said they felt like a whole section of their mouth was ruined is telling my story exactly. I had a tooth filled by Dr. Mo and I’m extremely uncomfortable now. Months later. Never felt that way when Bloom worked on me.
They way the office responds to bad reviews saying that people must be lying is absurd. I am simply not comfortable going back here again.

I have had a fabulous experience with Dr. Bloom and his staff. They all have been very attentive and helpful. Dr. Bloom is friendly and thorough. He explained all my options to me and is the first dentist I've ever seen that gave me options that would make the most economic sense. Who does that these days? It's obvious he cares about his patients and his practice. My son has seen Dr. Bloom for several years and I recently was able to start seeing him when my insurance situation changed. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bloom. I am 100% pleased and as long as he'll have me as a patient, he's my dentist!!

Going to this dental office is always a pleasure. The entire staff is so friendly and professional. Dr. Mo is excellent and I am so happy with my crowns and fillings. They look wonderful!
