The Dental Office at Chestnut Hill

One of my front tooth broke off and The Dental Office of Chestnut Hill was able to see me the next day for a fast repair. The people in this office are very highly skilled and very friendly! Great place, highly recommended!

Dr. Panos is one of the top cosmetic dentists in the area. My case was somewhat complex in that it involved 2 dental implants and 2 veneers. Planning the case and execution of the case could not have gone better. Sabrina his assistant is amazing as well. If you are looking for a dentist to transform your smile this is the place to go, and Dr. Panos is the dentist to see. Dr. Panos has all my before and after photos, feel free to ask for them.

Great place, the workers are soooo nice, what a great team. Highly recommend.

Dr. Rod Shale and Dental Hygenist Lilly Gadliardi have been providing my dental care for many years. Both are excellent practitioners. Dr. Shale has the most gental hands of any dentist I've ever known and is always conservative about moving forward with procedures - he often looks for interrum measures that will remedy an issue without compromising overall care and takes into account how much it will cost the patient. Lilly is also a skilled practioner. Her cleanings are very thorough and she is a warm and caring person. She taught me how to take better care of my teeth and gums which helped me avoid some costly prodecures. Overall I highly recommend this practice and would definitely refer friends and familly to The Dental Office at Chestnut Hill.

We've all hear about this dentist or that dentist on the radio, self-promoting their purportedly superior services. My Dental Care Professionals here don't need to talk about what they do; their work speaks for itself - the BEST of the best!

To put it simply, I look forward to visiting Dr. Shale, unlike so many who "fear" going to their Dentist. I know that they ALWAYS put MY comfort and best interests first!

Dr Shale, Lilly and the entire staff are a pleasure to work with. I have been going to them for more than 15 years and now my daughter (age 6) is a patient as well. She wants to have Lilly clean her teeth once a month!
I have also referred my sister and several friends to their practice and all have had positive experiences.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a great experience with The Dental Office at Chestnut Hill. The staff was nice, yes. Carla at the front desk was always attentive, professional, and willing to work with us. We thought this would be our new dental practice, but in the end it proved to be a huge mistake.
Our first mistake was walking in under the impression that they would be reasonable with coverage and payment. Apparently, we signed an agreement to pay (which we don't have a copy of and couldn't get from them after the fact), so no matter what crazy amount they decided to charge us - we had to pay. That being said, they charged us three times as much for fillings as our current practice (and more than anyone we knew had ever paid for fillings). And the kicker is that we now have to re-fill the SAME fillings Dr. Shale did a year ago because he did such a poor job.
Our second mistake was trusting that they would care to have our correct contact information and actually bother to get ahold of us when we apparently had bills due. When we finally got an email from them about two months ago saying we had an overdue bill and they were going to send it to collections, I responded to the email right away and then had to call the next day. They had all of our contact information incorrect and turns out the email address they send their statements through is an address they don't even control so they never received our first reply. Clearly their system wasn't working properly because it was the first email we received from that address in all of their apparent attempts over the last year. A phone call would've been nice at the very least. I don't know of anyone else who emails billing statements.

So, here we are a year later paying for fillings that we have to get redone. Luckily they were nice enough to let us split the payment over two months because we weren't expecting a nearly $400 dental bill from a year ago to randomly pop up like it did.

Moral of the story, even if it seems nice, doesn't mean it actually is. I'd look elsewhere for dental work.

Had to have my first root canal and it was done with no stress by Dr. Silva Battaglin. Along with Dr Shale and his entire staff, this was an awesome dental experience. I was so scared about having a root canal done, and all the stories I heard, but this was sooooo easy. I would recommend this practice, all the doctors and the staff at The Dental Office At Chestnut Hill!
