I am thrilled to get Dr Bishop. I have talked her up with friends. We all look forward to having her as our dentist.

I’ve been back to see Dr Bishop twice. I feel I am in the best dental hands. She is the definition of professional and is a lovely person to deal with. The staff is also efficient and pleasant

5 years ago I had a deep cleaning at this office. I had submitted my insurance to them at that time and paid the co pay that they asked for the time of services. Today, after 5 years as the service was performed in 2018 I receive a text stating I have a balance due. I called the office and they told me my deep cleaning which was done in 2018 cost $2500.00 and my co pay is still $600+. Where have they been for 5 years? And who charges $2500.00 for a deep cleaning? Now I receive a bill???? Actually it was not even a bill....just a text with a dollar amount and no breakdown of the service. When I called the office they told me they were closed for one year due to covid and this was my balance. At this point in time I don't even remember the insurance company I had at that time since I am no longer with the same company I worked for 5 years ago. This is ridiculous!!!! Where has this office been for 5 years? Never heard of anything so ridiculous.

Ok this review is going to present as a double edge sword. My hope is that people read this post in it’s entirety. I have had one negative experience after another at this office due to the change in management. The level of unorganized rude behavior at the front office is baffling. It started with a voicemail on my cell confirming someone else’s appointment! I have been moved/canceled about five times . I have never seen the same person twice and it is usually a poorly trained fill in. Nobody knows how to address simple insurance and billing matters. When I called the receptionist was completely dismissive. I was put on hold forever waiting for the office manager who was rude, untrained and had zero people skills. That said, I had the best cleaning I’ve ever had. I was ready to collect my records and take my business elsewhere, however, I kept my appointment out of sheer desperation for clean teeth. I am actually glad I did! Shannon is the only hygienist I will go to from now on. Amazingly painless. Extremely thorough and knowledgeable, she took time to explain. She has a great personality as well. She highly recommended the new dentist who seemed great also, Dr Martash? I hope that’s Close to the spelling?. The moral of the story is the new doc and Shannon are worth the aggravation at the front end!

I called to set up my first appointment and was told a date which I repeated back to the person on the phone to confirm I heard correctly. Then they call ahead to confirm my first appointment for the day before the date they told me on the phone. I was annoyed but made arrangements to go on the date they called to confirm. I go to my appointment meet a dental hygienist that was actually really pleasant but I was not able to meet the dentist for my exam because she was on vacation. I went to the front desk to schedule a follow up appointment to meet the dentist. I was handed a card with the date of my appointment so I made arrangements for the date on my appointment card. Then they call to confirm my second appointment for the day before the date written on the appointment card they handed to me. I ended up cancelling the remaining appointments I had scheduled with them. Also, they over charge for a cleaning in which you don't even see the dentist. I just received a bill because they went over the price the insurance company covers which I had never experienced before for my routine teeth cleaning.

I recently had a traumatic experience another practice and had trepidations around returning to the dentist. This practice was welcoming, professional and made me feel at ease.
They took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on with my teeth and current situation and gave clear options for treatment. I feel like I am in capable and safe hands.

My total experience may be summarized using one word; outstanding. The front desk staff, Diane, is courteous, personable and engaging. She knew who I was and why I was there.

Diane informed the dental assistant, Peggy, that I had arrived and I was escorted to the operatory. Peggy made me comfortable by explaining the procedure I would experience and asked if there were any questions. Peggy sensed I was anxious about the procedure and assured me that each step would be further explained by Dr. Johnson.

Dr. Johnson explained the procedure in layman's terms. Once he was confident I understood the procedure and the timeline the work was begun. I was totally relaxed throughout the procedure.

I would rank Dr. Johnson's skills as superior. His staff is professional and highly competent.

It is with complete confidence that I recommend Dr. Johnson and his staff to patients needing advanced dental care.

Dr. Johnson and his staff helped to save my smile and overall dental health. I lost my four front teeth years ago and I arrived at Dr. Johnson's office to get a second opinion on work that another office had performed. He was able to identify a potential gum infection as a result of the sub-par work performed by the other office. Long story short, Dr. Johnson improved the aesthetic, feel, and health of my smile. Several years ago I started on the path of implants. After having one bone graft I was told I would need more and there was no guarantee after having this additional work that implants would be successful; so I gave up. A few years ago I contacted Dr. Johnson for an implant consult because I would hear his name in ads on talk radio and would see write ups about him in magazines. Having learned that Dr. Johnson worked with celebrities and other high profile clients and how satisfied they were with his work; I felt confident he could help me. However, I didn’t go through with my consult at that time and again things were put on hold. Over the next few years my regular dentist would remind me every six months when I went in for a cleaning that I needed to hurry up and take care of my situation as I was quickly approaching the point of no return and an implant would be impossible. I had seen other ads for specialists who promised same day results with implants; but I knew my case was different. I decided to contact Dr. Johnson’s office once again to set up a consult. While I was home with the kids over April vacation I went on to the Newton Wellesley Dental Partners website and submitted my request. No soon as I hit send my cell phone rang and it was Dr. Johnson himself. I was in his office within a week to begin my transformation. I was not sure of what to expect when I met him. After all he has worked on celebrities and here I was just a regular person seeking his expertise. I was pleasantly surprised at how down to earth he is and was ecstatic when he chose a different procedure other than implants. He wasn’t choosing an easy path but one he knew would be successful and would make us both happy. He explained ever step of the process and was confident he would be able to deliver excellent results and he did! I finished my transformation a week ago and words can’t express how happy I am now that I’m no longer self conscious about my smile. Dr. Johnson and his team are top notch! Knowledgeable, professional, courteous and personable. Thank you Dr. Johnson, Diane and Peg. You guys are the best!

I've been going for at least 15 yrs. My new dentist was awesome, but the hygienist didn't listen to my request and did what he wanted. I was very disappointed. The front desk staff was great

I have just completed extensive crown work with Dr. Johnson, and could not be more pleased with my results. From early consultation, to minor follow up, and every step along the way, Dr. Johnson and his team have been outstanding in every respect. Accessible (evenings, weekends, holidays), knowledgeable, accommodating, and courteous -- they have been a delight to work with. I am thrilled with the outcome of Dr. Johnson's work and that of his ceramist. The quality and appearance of the teeth are totally natural and beautiful. At a recent cleaning in Florida, a prosthodontist and his hygienist both agreed that they had never seen such fine work. A great commendation from a fellow professional.
