This is a very clean and modern office; they use iPads instead of paper, the doctor wears an iWatch, they have all the latest equipment. That said, I was unsatisfied with the experience there.
I went with my adult son who had cavities, and I also needed an exam. The exams were pricey, but thorough. What was a shock was the recommendations and the cost of the anticipated work. They gave us an estimate. The fillings were at least 25% more expensive than other dentists in the area. Furthermore, the doctor recommended a scaling for me. This was surprising since I have no gum disease, no pain, no bleeding and very little build up of plaque. I subsequently went to another dentist that said my gums were 'pink stippled and healthy". He said a scaling would be invasive, painful and unnecessary. The scaling was upwards of $2000.
Perhaps the doctor is accustomed to up-selling to folks with insurance. As an uninsured patient the estimate and the recommendation drove me to another practice.
My advice: get a second opinion for any major work and don't let the environment fool you into unnecessary work.

Went myself today for the first time, and took two of my kids for first visit, too. All appointments were great! Staff is excellent--incredibly professional. The hygenists were fantastic with our kids--it was a really positive experience for them. I have major dental phobia, but this was really easy and pleasant.

Dr. Ian Modestow and his staff are simply the best! They are very friendly and helpful. The staff always goes above and beyond and Dr. Ian always puts my kids at ease. He explains in detail what he plans to do so there are no surprises. They actually Iike going to the dentist!

Taylor is a delightful dental hygienist. She did an amazingly thorough job cleaning my teeth. This is probably the cleanest my teeth have ever been. However, the next time I prefer a slightly more gentle approach.

I had not been to the dentist in a long time and was embarassed. The staff made me fel so welcomed. The hygienist was amazing. I was with her for almost 2 hours. The dentist exam was short and sweet. He was really all business, but I appreciated the honesty and being told about cost up front. If any, the only feedback I would offer is to provide patients with an explaination of the letters and numbers being called out during an exam. It puts some people's mind at ease to know and not wonder. Great office. It was clean, easy to get to with plenty of parking and waiting room. The desk staff was nice and welcoming too.
