V Dental Center

I am writing this review regarding my daughters visit 8/12/19. We have been patients since Emily was about 2-3. I too had a problem with their rules at first. Emily would scream and cry at every visit for the first couple years, Lewis would go back several times and reassure me all was OK. Emily doesn't recall being swaddled so she obviously wasn't forever traumatized. You may ask why I didn't change Dentists after hearing her scream and cry. I knew from my own experience as a Dental Assistant kids cry, kick & squirm. They are afraid of the new smells, sounds, tastes. As parents we get so over anxious when our kid's cry out for us we always assume the worse. This clinic has been our family, they still tease Emily how much she used to cry and she will soon be 17. With Emily's permission I am writing this review. What we didn't know back then was Emily had ADD (inattentive disorder) years later she was diagnosed with Autism and is on the low end of the Spectrum. She now looks forward to going to see Dr. Vy and the wonderful Hygienists. Lewis is a consumate professional he calls me to remind us every 6 months, he greets us by name. We chat in between patients. Emily gets so excited when she has no cavities. So do I. I will say she had one tiny cavity, but they asked my permission to fill it. We will continue to go as long as they accept our insurance. As I said, they are like family. 😁
P.S. To the parent who was turned down I'm not sure what to tell you. But we have Medical Assistance with Health Partners. Clinics can turn you down if you have just plain Medical Assistance. I know this from personal past experience and from working for Health Partner's for 15 years.

I was uncomfortable when they told me they don't allow parents with their kids while getting work done. They also wrapped my daughter in a net to keep her arms from moving while they filled cavities which caused anxiety for her. They said that one of my kids had 5 cavities and they filled 2 and said my other daughter had 4 cavities and they filled 2. But when I went to another dental clinic to get a second opinion on the cavities, and without telling them anything about my experience here, they said that my youngest has 1 which she should've had 2 cavities and my oldest had 0 and she should've had 3 cavities according to V Dental. It seems they are filling cavities to get money.
I will not be coming back.

PLEASE READ THIS : Horrible, my son just turned 5 and we brought him into get 2 cavities worked on, 15 minutes into appt I hear him screaming, crying and saying ouch like a dozen times. I asked the front desk gentleman to let me see him and he said "that's not a good idea, seeing you have your 3 year old with and she would be scared". I told him i dont care that is my choice as her mother, let me back! (Seeing the door was locked) I repeatedly asked to allow me back and he kept saying NO . They let me back eventually after arguing with the man and I come to see my son tied down in a straight jacket type thing (he was wrapped up like a mummy from ankles to stomach) and they were holding him down working in his mouth. A 5 year old should never be held down and also have their arms and legs strapped down!!! I am reporting them to BBB and I would strongly suggest not bringing your child there for dental work!!! Horrible he was scared and he told me he asked to see me and they never came and got me or informed me of anything nor was I told there was a chance they would tie my son down!!!! I may contact the police regarding this even. I had to demand they unstrap him and let him go. They also tried to tell me it was for his safety and theirs, but if there was a issue you need to speak with the parents before you use force to hold down a child in a place of business.

My wife and I highly recomment V Dental Center to those looking for a new dentist. Dr Vy and her staff are extremely gentle, knowledgable, highly talented, and explain the recommended course of treatment very well.

A first class experience like none I've ever had. The staff from reception to Dr. Vy treat you with courtesy and respect, and provide attentive dental care in calm, peaceful clinic setting.

Our visit was 100 percent amazing, the whole entire staff from checking in to the hygienist to the dentist! She’s only 2 months shy of three for her first visit, very very awesome dental office,!!

My whole family is using this office. We always receive great service and care. Highly recommend this dental office. Dr V's persistence will make your teeth shine again.

Really enjoyed their service. It's a small and quiet office, which I like. l got a cleaning done and got some tips on how to keep my teeth cleaner. Gotta keep those teeth in healthy shape!

I love this place ! Very clean an nice always able to squeeze you in if your in pain ! An they always take care of my kids !! Always in an out. All of the staff are very very nice an polite an well mannered!!!

Dr. By is a great dentist with her patients well being topmost. She always explains what she does and answers any questions I have. She is very customer service oriented, and very gentle.
