wonderful experience. from calling to set my appointment to making my next one jessica was so helpful and kind beyond great customer service. jump to cleaning day i got the pleasure of having Cody who was so kind and informative of everything felt beyond comfortable with all the staff. as well as my doctor who came in was also so helpful with all my questions and gave me tips on how to move forward with a better and healthier smile.

I have never written a google review before, but I found them helpful when I moved to Rochester. I want to say that I received excellent dental care, but I feel that the customer service and communication were poor. I inquired about Smile Direct (or their equivalent) at Blue Sky. At my previous dentist in Illinois, I was quoted $3,000 after a free consultation that included imaging. At Blue Sky, I was charged $300 for a consultation and imaging. I was quoted over $7,000 for their service. I was also unaware that the imaging was only good for six months at the consultation time. I am unsure why there is such a discrepancy between the two. I had different insurance policies at the two dentists, but neither covered cosmetic/orthodontic care, so this should not be the cause of such a difference.

On my second cleaning visit for the year, the hygienist informed me that I needed gingivitis cleaning. I was not given options about whether I wanted a gingivitis cleaning or a regular cleaning. Halfway through the cleaning, I was informed that my insurance did not cover the cleaning because I was “out of frequency,” and would cost me $200. I assumed my insurance did not cover a second cleaning (gingivitis therapy or regular) within 12 months. After calling my insurance, I discovered they cover two regular cleanings (100% coverage) within 12 months each year. If I had known that regular cleaning would have been free, I would have opted for this. I do not feel that they were upfront about my options. In summary, I feel like I wasted over $500 at Blue Sky and have found a new dentist in Rochester.

I had an excellent experience Blue Sky. My significant other receives their dental care here and has had a similar experience. Autumn was my hygienist today and was absolutely delightful, walking me through each step well and explaining the reasoning behind each step to my satisfaction. To my untrained self, her technique was excellent throughout my routine cleaning.

I also appreciated Dr. Rushing’s advice and recommendations on things.

Blue Sky Dental is not only cutting edge with their care they are compassionate. They advise but don't pressure. I just had my second crown with Dr Stephen. He and his staff ensured my comfort, accommodated my needs, and my crown was perfect and complete in one day. They make the tooth right there while you wait. No temporary, no gloppy mold. I'd never go back to the old way or to another dentist. I kinda miss the hot wax hand treatments since covid but in every other way they could not be better.

Alexis did an excellent job during my regular checkup. My teeth are fairly sensitive, and with her at the controls it was the best cleaning I’ve had. Thanks!

I just moved to Rochester and am now receiving dental care at Blue Sky Dental. It is a super convenient location for those working at Mayo Clinic. After I got my insurance set up, I was able to get an appointment the day after I called! My friend referred me to Blue Sky Dental, and we both were able to receive $25. I scheduled a standard check up/cleaning, and the process of receiving dental care was super efficient. I only spent a total of 1 hour to get initial x-rays, a cleaning, and check up from the doctor. When I laid back in the chair, there was a TV directly above me so that I could watch it while receiving care (such a great idea that I've never seen before at dental offices I've been to in the past --- it helps to avoid any awkward eye contact you may have when someone is working with your teeth!). Overall, Blue Sky Dental had lovely staff! In particular, Alexis was the dental hygienist that took care of me. She was super friendly and was very efficient in taking my x-rays, cleaning my teeth, and getting me set up to see the doctor. When taking my x-rays, she would space out how often she would take a picture so that my mouth wouldn't get tired of being open for too long (which a lot of places/people forget to do!). I am definitely going to continue coming back for as long as I am in Rochester. My teeth are clean now, so I am very happy!

I had an awesome experience at blue sky dental. I especially liked my hygienist Cody. He was warm, welcoming, non-judgmental about my flossing habits (that could be improved), and we just overall had a great conversation. In addition, he was very supportive of a new dental hygienist that was training, letting her practice the tasks she wanted to improve on.

This was my first visit at Blue Sky Dental and it was the best experience. Autumn, my hygienist, was super great and talked me through everything she was doing. Her and Dr. Rushing answered all my questions and left my teeth squeaky clean. :)

I had such a good first experience at Blue Sky Dental. Alexis, my hygienist, was awesome! She was thorough throughout the whole appointment and is very knowledgeable when it comes to her profession. Dr. Rushing was very caring and also thorough with the exam. Overall, I highly recommend Blue Sky Dental!
