Best Dentist in Omaha! I HATE going to the dentist, but Dr. Schilmoeller and his staff (Diane, Debra, et. al.) are terrific. They are friendly, extremely competent, and understand their patient's anxieties! The sedation option is the best. Highly recommended.

Staff was knowledgeable and let me know what was going to happen, to keep me calm. Dr. And assistant worked well together. Would recommend, easy appt.

It’s always nice to be greeted by Diane and then get back to a room in minutes! My hygienist not only answered every question I had, but also did some teaching and demonstrated some new techniques and gave me some good information!

Dr. Fischman is the best!!! He's very gentle and explains everything in such detail! I have a fear of the dentist and he was very patient with me. I cannot recommend NDC enough!

I saw Dr. Schilmoeller when I was single and had a good experience. I went to him because I knew that he had kindly assisted indigent patients referred from the community health center I worked at, so I knew he had a good heart. Some time later, I transferred to another office with a lot of bells and whistles, but ultimately have transferred my family back to this office, because we're happy with simple, kind dentistry from a team with a lot of experience and integrity. I wasn't interested in a dental "spa" environment with all the latest technology that was likely to increase costs unnecessarily and make me feel like our teeth needed to be aesthetically perfect. We just need people to help us keep our mouths healthy so we can eat our daily bread for as long as the Good Lord grants us life. I gave 4 starts instead of five, because I doubt they do a perfect job with every encounter (but I'm far from perfect myself) and also because by some people's standards, they may not measure up to the "latest and greatest" dental technology/service that's out there...but again, I'm good with that. :) When I take my children, I'm not always pleased with the t.v. programs that are on in the waiting room, but then, I'm picky (don't appreciate daytime talk/drama shows like most people enjoy), and the receptionist was happy to change the channel for me when I asked her to...she was just doing her work and not paying attention to the content on the television. We like the photos of birds in the waiting room that Dr. Schilmoeller has taken himself during his bird-watching meanderings. My son asked for a subscription to "Birds and Blooms" after reading it there and enjoying the pictures on the walls. I imagine that when some people are in a lot of mouth pain, it can be hard to always meet their emotional needs, and these online review opportunities give people the opportunity to "vent" publicly after their appointments in ways that can really damage the reputation of businesses, unfortunately. People who are content with businesses probably aren't as likely to think of posting a review, especially if they are not people that tend to spend much time on the internet. The only reason I took the time to do so was to counter the ONE-star review from ONE person based on ONE encounter in very difficult circumstances.

Been a patient at this office for 30+ years. Wonderful, caring staff and a new great dentist. Love this office!
