My impression was that their main goal (other than keeping your teeth clean and gums healthy) was to make sure you're comfortable. I think anyone nervous about going to the dentist would be made to feel at ease here. My cleaning was a little quicker than it has been at other dentists, but I still think it was thorough and painless. Would definitely recommend!
