I love it here, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Dr Sykes and Dr. Adams have always portrayed such a gentleness and calmness. I used to be terrified of the dentist and they help me feel at ease and taken care of. Chris is the best!!! She is always very caring and truly loves what she does. As much as I do not look forward to my cleaning I always look forward to seeing her. She is one of the main reasons why I return everytime.

Dr. Sykes is not only an excellent dentist, he is thoughtful and patient. I have had a great deal of dental work done over the years and can say unequivocally that Dr. Sykes is the best. Additionally, the staff is friendly and courteous in every respect.

Dr Sykes is my regular dentist and he is great! Also I just had a crown from a different dentist pop off, and his partner Dr Addams was available as soon as the office opened the next day saving my Christmas plans! This office is awesome can't recommend them more.

I used to dread everything about dentistry and waited too long to go because of it. I am sure a lot of people say that 😂. When I knew I had to go back after some issues, I switched to these folks and it was a breeze. They make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Everyone here is awesome! If you don’t like great customer service, singing (Britney Spears) in the background, or going the extra mile to help you feel better about your smile this place isn’t for you. But I would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Was frustrated with my previous dentist so I made an appointment here and what a difference. The entire staff is professional, helpful and friendly !! I was amazed. They made it clear of my different treatment options and asked me what my future goals were with my smile 😁 I appreciated that !! I will become a lifelong customer and I highly recommend them 👍👍👍👍👍

What a joke, is this actually a professional dental office? On 12/19/22 I received a text notification indicating that I had a balance due. Considering that I had never received a billing statement and had also never received a text notification of that nature from the office, I thought it was a scam. To add to the confusion, in October of 2022 I had received an update mailed to me letting me know that I had $1500 to spend with The Reno Dentist. So…rather than click the link in the text notification, I decided to call the phone number noted…which routed me to a voicemail box so I left a message expressing my confusion. Christmas came and went yet I had not received a call back so I figured it actually was a scam because the phone number in the text notification was different from the phone number noted online. On 01/03/23 I called the online phone number for The Reno Dentist to make them aware of the scam, I got the voicemail and left a message. On 01/04/23, I received a call back from Robin. I was told that the text notification was something new and I did indeed have an outstanding bill of approximately $380 from a visit on 12/30/21. I was told to contact my insurance company because they had not paid the bill. In speaking with my insurance company, The Reno Dentist office had submitted the 12/30/21 claim then had been asked by my insurance company for additional information…which was not provided so the claim was denied…and just sat evidently. My insurance company was very kind and said they were going to try to push the claim through, but since it had been over a year they weren’t sure what the outcome would be. I immediately called The Reno Dentist back to let Robin know what my insurance company had said, I was told that The Reno Dentist’s office was going to resubmit the insurance claim on their end as well. On January 6, 2023 The Reno Dentist issued two separate bills that were sent to me in the mail, one had a total balance of $376.77 and the other included a finance charge…for a total of $382.42…but both were issued the same day…very odd. I must note that the original claim to my insurance was $349, so obviously The Reno Dentist added finance charges to a bill I had never seen before…just lovely (insert sarcasm). Both bills caution that my account is over 90 days past due and in the final stage before going to collections. Talk about absolutely ridiculous, it took over two weeks for The Reno Dentist to get back to me…and that’s only because I called again. My insurance would have easily paid that fee had it been addressed accordingly and in a timely manner. Instead The Reno Dentist insists that I pay out of pocket for their lack of professionalism by not submitting the insurance claim appropriately. The Reno Dentist seriously needs to get their poop in a group and quit wasting my time/energy. Please don’t let them waste yours as well, choose a different dental office for sure.

After Dr York retired Dr. Sykes took over his practice and I stayed with Dr Sykes. This is a difficult review to write because I was very happy with Dr. Sykes and his services. In fact it was almost as if he became a friend. I was always happy with his dental work.
However when I went to have a cleaning in July a few years ago, I was surprised to get a bill for $60 a few weeks later. My insurance provides for four cleanings a year for free. I got busy with other things and thought it was just an error. However after receiving two more bills I finally just paid the $60 assuming that I had overlooked something. When I went for my next cleaning in October the billing clerk told me I owed $60 after that. I was quite confused and told her that I had never had to pay for cleanings before. She looked at my record and told me that they had raise my deductible. What? I don’t have a deductible in cleanings but all the information she could provide me was that my deductible had increased. I paid the bill. In fact it appeared I had no choice but to pay it since I had apparently overlook changes in my plan.
The next day I checked one of EOBs for a recent cleaning and discovered that my insurance company had only paid 50% because the Reno dentist was out of network. What? Ever since I had began going to Dr. York's office and the Reno Dentist they carried my state insurance. What happened?
Well the rest of the story is that they dropped my insurance and never notified me. I pay almost $50 a month for this insurance and certainly I couldn’t go to a out-of-network dentist. What really upset me was the billing clerk lied to me. She kept telling me my deductible had increased. My deductible did not increase they simply had dropped my state insurance which ultimately cost me $120.
Of Course I had no choice but to find another dentist and transfer my records. But I must say that even though I had no choice and was misled with an inaccurate information, I really miss Dr. Sykes. Going to the dentist isn’t a favorite of mine but I always looked forward to seeing him and I completely trusted his diagnosis and treatment plans.
I have a read a few others issues about billing In the reviews. That is the reason I am sharing my experience and I certainly hope that whatever issues were going on in the billing department have been
resolved. It is sad to have to leave such a great dentist simply because the staff doesn’t know or doesn’t care enough to research and provide the proper information. I certainly wish him the very best.
