Outstanding practice! The whole staff truly cares about you as a patient. They are thorough from the minute you call to make an appointment to your next visit. No hesitation coming in during the pandemic! Protocols are being followed! I'd recommend this practice without any hesitation for anyone looking for an amazing Dental practice or a change from their current one! You will not be disappointed.

My 16 year old daughter went and saw Dr Santavicca for the first time. She does not like the dentist and was quite nervous about this appointment. We were told great things about this dentist by my sister and she referred us to her. They were very thorough with her and my daughter said she really likes them!
Unfortunately they do not take VT Medicaid and the office manager is so amazing so she went through each thing my daughter needs done, how much it would cost. Talked to me about my options and listened to my concerns intently. I wish we could keep going there, but because of our new insurance, we just can’t afford the out of pocket expenses.
The reason I am giving four stars is because I had one issue, their receptionist Nick was not professional. The day of my daughters appointment I received a phone call from him stating in a tone like he was quite annoyed and stearn saying he has tried to reach me several times and wanted to know if I was coming to the appointment today. First off, I never received any confirmation voicemail, email or text from this gentleman wanting to confirm this appointment. If I did, I would’ve have called. I’m one that does NOT like missing appointments and am usually 10 minutes early. This situation bothered me because one, the way he spoke to me, I was taken back by it, quite surprised. And two, it brought back memories of how I was treated by another receptionist at another dental office when I had a legit medical emergency and was in the ER at the time and my two youngest daughters were wrote off from that practice because of the no show and when I called to explain this I was treated disrespectfully by that receptionist there.
I was in this field of work for many years. You don’t talk to clients, customers, patients like that. You are there to HELP THEM. You are their first line of contact to their main resource, it is very important to be respectful no matter what the circumstance and be understanding to all possible avenues.
After having this one call from their receptionist Nick it proves this gentleman needs to have more training on customer service.
So, because of the problem with the receptionist that I spoke with and knowing how I should’ve been treated, I can only give four stars. But, other than that, the Dr, Manager and Nurse that took my daughter in were wonderful! Not one problem there!

First time visit today…this is the best dental visit I’ve ever had. Totally competent and thoughtful practice. Office staff is great, helpful. Staff is amazing. Facilities very very clean. I can’t wait to tell others about the great care I received. Thank you!

Santavicca Dental is a beautiful, clean office, with a great team of professionals! I have always had severe anxiety with the dentist and this office has cared for me so well! Amy, my hygienist, goes above and beyond to ease anxiety and is always educating me on ways to keep my teeth healthier. Dr. Santavicca is personable and professional. The front office staff is friendly and always helpful with insurance questions. Lastly, they always make you feel safe in their practices, especially during COVID-19. I would definitely recommend this office!

They are indeed the real deal...Pros

I had a wonderful first visit as a new patient. The front desk was helpful and friendly, Dorothy handled my x-rays quickly and with ease. Dr. Shad was lovely to visit with, he was exceptionally fast and gentle and I really couldn’t be happier with my experience.

Dr. Shad noticed that I was nervous about dental work, so he calmed me by beginning with work on only one tooth! He is a real pro, and painlessly & swiftly remedied the issue. Therefore, he gained my confidence. I am now fearlessly having other my teeth fixed. Thank you, Dr. Shad!

Dr. Shad, my dentist,, came out personally and apologetically and very professionally advised me of longer wait time. I was then treated by Amy, the dental hygienist, with the gentlest and softest touch imaginable! I would not have expected such a positive dental experience. Kudos!!!
