A Healthy Smile Dentistry

I've been going to Dr. Gohard for the past 5 years and have my whole family seeing the practice. They take care of us and have taken the precautions necessary in the middle of a Pandemic in 2020 (covid-19). It's literally my 2nd home to me and my entire family, and more referrals on the way.

Dr. Gohard is personable and takes care of your teeth! The staff is so nice to us, we really feel like an extended family! (who says that about their dentist?)

I have had nothing but great experiences at Dr. Gohard's office. Working in the health field myself, it is rare to come across an office that is both professional AND punctual. The staff is always friendly and accommodating with my appointments and they will always do there best to get you in as soon as possible. I highly recommend!

Dr Gohard has a good team of professionals. Every time I went in I felt welcome. Agnes and Ariel are bright and cheerful, Mansour is accomodating and very helpful with prompt follow ups and working with insurance and scheduling. Doctors and staff are always ready to answer any questions. My dental cleaning went quick and painless. Thank you Dr Gohard

I get anxiety going to the dentist because I have sensitive gums. Here, there was no reason for me to be nervous. I had a very gentle and thorough cleaning. I also had a couple of concerns about my dental health, when I brought them up they were all addressed with simple solutions that were cost conscious. 10/10!

I am a new assistant at A Healthy Smile Dentistry. Our office is friendly and family oriented. I recently had my fillings done here. It was great and painless. Which I'm sure any other would enjoy.

The staff at a Healthy Smile Dentistry are professional and so very helpful. I was not particularly delighted to have work done on my teeth, but the dentist and his very personable assistant made my 45 minutes quite enjoyable. While I couldn't say too much, I enjoyed the lively banter that helped keep my mind off off the drilling, bonding, polishing and whatever else was going on. My whole family goes to A Healthy Smile Dentistry and we will continue to do so, especially because of their care and concern and their overall professionalism and hospitality.

I have been visiting this practice for at least a year. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly, especially Joanna. I came here initially with a gum infection, and Joanna was the first hygienist I saw. She is so friendly and kind... after that initial visit, every time I show up she says hi to me and remembers who I am. The same with many of the other staff members.. they are all very friendly and professional and make me feel very comfortable being there.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Even though I’m here to get dental work, I trust that they will do a great job. I had a dental implant done by Dr Gohard and while it was a lengthy process, everyone in the office was very supportive and understanding. In addition they did a great job on the dental implant and the cleanings. Everything has happened according to expectations, thanks to Dr Gohards and her teams extensive knowledge. I’m very happy with the outcome and have Dr Gohard and team to thank.

I don't like writing negative reviews, but I feel it might help other patients by sharing some of my experience with Dr Gohard's office.

April 2017, I was told my insurance would cover 100% of my wisdom teeth extraction and the cost was estimated to be about $1200. However, I must pay 100% in advance and will be reimbursed in about 2 months. I said no problem.

6 months passed, I still haven't received my reimbursement. I called insurance company and was told that the claim still hasn’t been submitted by the dental office. After a phone call to Dr Gohard's office, I received a notification of submitted claim the next day, however the coverage changed from 100% to 80% and the total cost changed from $1200 to $2000. Long story short, after 10+ phone calls, 20+ emails, and me going to the office meeting Dr Gohard, I got my reimbursement back. During the meeting, I asked why it had to be so hard to get my reimbursement back? I was surprised to hear Dr Gohard say that her office is "one of the better ones", some places don't give patients their reimbursement back at all.

Since Dec 2017, I have called three times asking for release of my records. Every time I was promised to receive an email by the end of that day. No response in any means so far.

I would NOT recommend Dr Gohard's office unless your current dentist sounds much worse, or she is the only doctor provided in your plan.

I was surprised to receive a call last week from a new office manager who was calling to schedule my next cleaning. I briefly told her my unpleasant story as well as unsuccessfully requests for release of records. She was able to send my X-ray immediately and offered free copy of records for pickup later that week.
I really appreciate her professionalism and efforts to make things right, however, I have to decline her request to delete this review. I believe reviews are just like system logs. They should only be appended, but never tampered. It's not what reviews say, it's what you do that defines you.

I have been going to healthy smile dentistry for 5+ years and they do a great job. 5/5 stars! Filling cavities is an easy/pain-free process... I don’t even feel the needle going in!

EDIT: I love this group so much I still go to them even though I moved to CA!

Dr Gohard is the best. She is patient and gentle. All of her office staff are very friendly and will always go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience. Dr Gohard has been my Dentist for 13 years! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
