Specialized Dentistry of New Jersey

I am so excited. For 20 years I went to a dentist in New York City. Once Covid hit and I was staying in New Jersey I was really concerned about finding a dental practice that matched the experience I had before. I was talking to my chiropractor who suggested that I visit this practice. I am beyond myself. They are all professional, knowledgeable, communicate very well and are such a pleasure to be with.

This week I had my appointment with one of their dental hygienists, Arianna.
I have a complicated dental situation. Over the years I’ve had last lots of work. Working with a new person made me feel vulnerable.

Arianna was easy, relaxed and so knowledgeable. It was such a pleasure to be with her. I’m so grateful to have found this practice.

Just had another wonderful experience with the team at Specialized Dentistry today! Had a problem over the weekend and despite their busy Monday schedule , Dawn made sure to squeeze me in. Once I arrived, Erin took me back immediately to get an initial assessment, some images and xrays and was just a doll and very comforting. Then Dr Courey came in to see what was going on and fortunately was nothing serious. He is always extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate and makes sure to let you know that you matter in their practice. Can't say enough great things about each and every person that works there. Lois is a fantastic hygienist too. That is coming from a former hygienist! I've never encountered a more welcoming and professional dental practice than this one. Dr Courey has also relieved my TMJ issues by making a perfect night guard suited to my problem for which I'm also grateful. So happy I finally found a practice I can trust and count on. My daughter loves them too!

I just moved to Manalapan. This was my first appointment with Specialized and I have to say that it was a very pleasant visit. I was greeted by Chrissy and that was a great start as she made me feel at home immediately. . She was very helpful and provided me with all the necessary information that I needed as their patient.. After I left my first appointment I did not feel that I was a new patient but a patient that was long standing with them.

I was assigned to Ariana as my Hygienist. I have to say the examination she game me was so thorough and informative that she made it very easy and relaxing appointment. In all my years I never had an exam as she performed on me today. She pointed out a number of ways I could help maintain a healthy dental life. She also made me feel like a long time patient instead of a new patient. I hope she will continue to be my Hygienist from this point on.

I met Dr Diaz and he was very gracious and friendly and I am looking forward in maintaining a good relationship with him and the staff.

I believe that Chrissy, Ariana, and Dr Diaz are great assets to the Specialized family and I am very happy that I chose them for my dental health.

I'd like to take the time to acknowledge the Specialized Dentistry Group of New Jersey, headed up by Dr. James Courey, DDS, located in Manalapan, New Jersey.
I found this group to be professional, knowledgeable and courteous often anticipating my comfort throughout my many appointments.

I'd like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the front office managers and assistant's to Dr. Courey, that somehow, make it all happen. They are: Chrissy, Dawn, Christina and Karen in addition to the many unsung hero's behind the scene.

I made a consult to replace my crowns, and ended up leaving my dentist of 10 years entirely because this place is THAT great!

Arianna did my cleaning/xrays/etc. and she was phenomenal. She made sure I was comfortable and well informed throughout the entire appointment, and even showed/talked me through all of my x-rays and what she was seeing.

Dr. Courey, although I have only met with him for a consult so far, seems amazing and has restored my hope in having a beautiful smile one day!

LOVE this place! Oh and the women at the desk are wonderful too!!

The staff is professional, friendly and very helpful. The dentists, hygienists and dental assistants are excellent. Dr. Courey and Dr. Diaz provide the highest quality care. I highly recommend Specialized Dentistry for all types of dental care.

Visited for Zoom teeth whitening. Had such a wonderful experience with Adrianna - she was so sweet and very thorough. It was such a relaxing treatment and my teeth came out sparkling white! I was even able to get trays made to be able to do teeth whitening touch ups at home once needed. Highly recommend.

Recently, I had the most excellent experience at The Specialized Dentistry of New Jersey. I had a dental emergency and needed immediate dental care; however, my regular dentist told me I would not be able to be seen for weeks! So i quickly contacted The Specialized Dentistry of New Jersey and explained to them my emergency. They were extremely pleasant to speak to, and they were very understanding of my situation. I was AMAZED when they scheduled me to come in for an appointment the very NEXT DAY! I saw Doctor James Courey, and he further amazed me with his experienced knowledge and his sincerity for my care. Needless to say, I had a fantastic experience at this dentistry and HIGHLY recommend it.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Courey for my dental needs for over ten years and throughout that time, everyone involved in my care has been the epitome of professionalism.
The patient coordinators are always so helpful and very personable in accommodating me for regular appointments as well as ad hoc visits, when needed. They go out of their way to assist with various things such as insurance questions and issues and make me feel I am important to them and not just a customer. The office administrator, though not directly involved with my care, is always engaging. For my routine cleanings and checkups, my hygienists is friendly, thoughtful and thorough, but with a gentle touch. The skillful prosthodontist assisting team, especially the assistant specialist, were so considerate at every turn and always pleasantly dealt with all my questions and concerns.
For the last few years, I’ve been going through some orthodontics and Specialized Dentistry of New Jersey worked on the cosmetic and restoration portion of the work. I had teeth whitening which was successful in brightening up my smile. In addition, I had some restorative crowns done on my front teeth. This was somewhat stressful for me since this is the most obvious part of my smile and in my case, also a complex process to make sure all of the teeth line up properly when completed. Dr. Courey’s expertise as a prosthodontist cannot be overstated. He assured me that everything would be to my satisfaction, and it was. Dr. Courey was flexible in coming up with a treatment plan that was tweaked from time to time as things progressed to best serve my needs and keep the cost as reasonable as possible. He is a fantastic overall dentist and prosthodontist, concerned and caring, and I’m glad I put my trust in him and his team.

I just wanted to say how happy I am with the team and the dentistry in general. I've put off going to a dentist forever, but the Dr. Diaz and the whole team there made me feel important and welcome in the dentist office.

The front staff are very open and welcoming, and remembered me after calling back to schedule more visits a month after I originally went. This is the type of service that makes me keep coming back to them, along with the helpful dentistry staff that help explain things regarding future work to be done.

This is the type of dentist you want to come to if you need anything done!
