Dr. Courey and Dr. Zagami are amazing! I can't say enough about how highly I recommend them. The difference is night and day. I used to go to a "dental mill" where all they cared about was getting you in and out. Dr. Courey and Dr. Zagami really care about doing the job right and making sure you get the best care possible. My story is that for years I suffered from TMJ pain. Every time I mentioned it to other dentist my concerns were met with disinterest. At my very first visit, Dr. Courey and Dr. Zagami did a thorough examination and were able to identify the reason for the problem. I'm currently in the process of being treated and after years of TMJ pain I'm ecstatic about its resolution. Dr. Courey and Dr. Zagami were the first dentist to listen to my concerns and provide treatment. I could go on and on about the friendliness and professionalism of their staff and the cutting edge technology they use... but suffice it to say, I highly recommend Drs. Courey and Zagami!

Had a crown installed by Dr Courey. WOW! What an experience! The word 'crown' makes me nervous, but with the skill and patience of Dr Courey, the entire experience was painless. He was extremely professional and even corrected work performed poorly by a previous dentist. I would recommend Dr Courey to anyone who will listen!

Dr. Coury was excellent in analyzing my dental problems, and using a computer ,provided me with a plan which he explained in detail. He is caring , highly skilled and knowledgeable, and maintains a staff that emulates these qualities also.

It was my 1st visit to Dr Courey's office for a suspected TMJ. I was very impressed by the people who worked for him and Dr. Courey. The time and the interest with which Dr. Courey took to talk to me and explain everything(i don't have TMJ) was very nice. A very family atmosphere and I felt very welcome.

This dentist is a CROOK he does not explain what he is going to do to your mouth, what the procedure is going to entail, or what the overall cost will be. I went to get implants done by this crook and he totally messed up my mouth. I have followed the instructions to a tee that both the oral surgeon and this crook have me to follow. I have nothing but swelling on the right side of my face, food is getting caught on the left side of my mouth, to the point it's now getting stuck no matter what I try to get it out...(I have not used tooth picks bc I have read it can make the food stuck even worse) he installed the implants with an extreme overbite, and my top lip is pushed to far out because of it. My lips do not meet like they did before he installed the implant. My top lip now sits a couple inches out from my bottom lip. Looking at pictures from not even a month before the implants were installed to now you can see the massive difference in my mouth area (and it is not a good improvement). The implants are rough along the back side of my mouth to the point of if my tounge just slightly rubs along the two front teeth my tounge gets all tore up. If I run my tounge along the bottom of the implants all I feel are holes and roughness. The implant is not flush to my gums to the point I cannot say words with "F's" or "S's" with out a massive lisp when I did not have one before he messed with my mouth. Whenever I try and speak in long sentences I have to make sure spit does not come out of the top of the implant because of the massive gap along the top of my lip. Whenever I speak air constantly escapes through the top of the implant to the point it sounds like I'm farting (I'm sorry for this reference but I honestly don't know of another way of explaining it) out of my mouth whenever I speak. ( I have spoken to a dentist friend that lives out in California that specializes in this kind of work also and I have sent him numerous pictures of the inside of my mouth and he is appalled at what this man did to my mouth). I have tried since May to get him to fix his screw up and he keeps dragging his feet and refusing to see me to fix the problems I am having. So I have reached the final straw and letting everyone know what kind of man he really is. As far as his office staff they all can use training on how to have better bedside manner. The receptionists are real nasty along with majority of the hygienist's he has working for him. You will sit for a good 15 minutes after your appointment time just to be called back. His "waiting room" is not even in his office it's in a hallway of sorts that have you sitting and waiting on hard benches with outdated reading material.

As an orthodontist I have the ability to evaluate many different dentists. Dr. Courey along with Dr. Zagami define the "dentists dentist"- dentists frequently have their treatment completed at Specialized Dentistry of NJ. Collectively we are able to treat the most challenging cases since we have expertise in different specialties. This is a win-win for the patient- two experts working side by side. I give Specialized Dentistry of NJ my highest recommendation.
