I was referred to Dr. Edward Smith by his assistant, the daughter of my coworker, 25 years ago. Myself & family needed a local dentist after moving to NJ. My husband's personal friend was our previous dentist, and we dreamed of a friendly & welcoming & competent expert as he. Our DREAMS CAME TRUE! Don't be fooled by the receptionist, Donna's "all business" attitude. She is an empathetic soul, and efficiently attentive to your concerns. Donna actually ANSWERS the phone, in a welcoming manner, as if you're calling your friend! Most Healthcare providers I encounter are AUTOMATED & I'm not a # @ Dr. Smith's! The whole staff--Sandy, Nicole, Sharon, Cheryl & Anita are all so happy, @ my every visit, and welcome you in the same way. That demonstrates a wonderful working environment. Everyone truly practices the meaning of a "FAMILY DENTAL PRACTICE". I am a Nurse Educator & RECOGNIZE EXCELLENCE as I encounter it. I am so lucky to have found Dr. Smith!
He knows I am a visual& auditory learner and reviews my x rays with me and talks to me constantly when my mouth is open. He is better than any sedative or pain killer another dentist may use in caring for your "dental" anxiety! He looks and speaks "in James Taylor's image"-soft spoken, gentle and calm. Actively listens & addresses each & every one of your concerns. Professionally displays sincere concern for all clients, not just mine, and competently cares for my total oral health as the true EXPERT he is. His staff are all expert in their roles, and very attentive to the doctor's needs as well as yours. ( They also interpret "suctioned, open mouth dialects" of all kinds!) He referred me to experts in oral health needs I had that he could not accommodate. He demonstrates excellence in his craft, & his referrals never disappoint because of this. He is one of the few health practitioners I've encountered-in my profession & by my selection, &who actually practices his VISION STATEMENT. He & his staff are under the definition in WEBSTER'S dictionary, for "trustworthy" and "reputable". Glad to know them.

I have been a loyal patient of Dr. Smith's since I first saw him many years ago. I have regular visits for cleanings, have had multiple procedures done, and bonded front teeth. The quality of his work is nothing short of exemplary and paired with his genuine nature as a person, I always feel more than comfortable with each visit. Dr. Smith is an outstanding dentist, highly skilled and knowledgeable. He performed a root canal on my tooth which saved it from being extracted. His staff is extremely pleasant and experienced. In addition, Dr. Smith is one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Yesterday was my first time going to Dr. Scott Smith, and I will most definitely be going back! Everyone in the office was incredibly kind and welcoming and I immediately felt very comfortable. I was dreading having impressions taken, but they made it very quick and painless, as was my cleaning by Dr. Smith. He was incredibly thorough and gentle, as well as professional. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Smith! He and his staff always go above and beyond. I wasn't even a patient yet, i called on new years day desperate with an infected wisdom tooth. Left a message and within 10 min got a call back and all the help I needed. New to Randolph our whole family including 3 year old goes there. Dr Smith and the staff are AMAZING with our super shy daughter. They really are the best!
