A Better Smile Dentistry

My experience with DR. BAO and staff was great. I suffer from lock jaw. I've had a hard time finding a good dentist to make me comfortable during my procedures. Dr BAO made sure that during my procedure I was comfortable and doing okay. He knew I have trouble with my jaw so he gave me breaks in between if needed. Dr.bao and the staff went above and beyond to help me come up with a plan to make my teeth and confidence better.

I was aware of the huge gap in my upper front teeth and felt uncomfortable smiling. I felt like everyone couldn't help noticing the gap. A Better Smile gave me a wonderful system of invisible braces that are eliminating the embarrassing Gap. My teeth will be straight in only a few months. Meanwhile I can take the braces off to eat, and wear them invisibly all day. I love the friendly and professional staff. I was surprised to learn that they all have medical training. I also like my visits because it only takes a few minutes to get the new set of braces for the next week.

Dr. Bao is amazing! He explained everything in great detail and did a wonderful job with the deep cleaning and fillings. All the staff are friendly and Non-judge mental about my terrible teeth. Luke in the front is very welcoming and great about scheduling around you.

Dr. Bao and his staff took excellent care of me while I had dentures done in this office. They were all so caring and answered all of my questions making me feel calm and secure! After a month I have a brand new smile! I would recommend A Better Smile Dentistry to anyone.

The staff is great and always nice, the prices are fair. The dentist gets frustrated very easily and will not admit fault. Right side of my mouth I had quite a bit of teeth worked on and I had to go back because one of them was extremely sensitive, when I went back I insisted that it needed more filling because it was sensitive but he said it was due to the bite so he filed down four other teeth causing them all to be sensitive as well. I couldn't go back to to the pandemic so when I was finally able to go back months later he said it was the bite and that because I had a missing tooth he would need to give me a bridge and cap on some teeth costing upwards to 2k I denied the service and he pushed a cleaning on me which I also turned away . I went to another dentist and they told me I was in dire need of a deep cleaning and I was told by this dentist I didn't need one. Also my new dentist had told me all I need is the filling redone on the sensitive teeth. Edit: I just got an infection on a root canal I got from Dr.bao this year and I can't treat it do to using all my insurance on his work.

It's to bad Bao sets up patients with more dental problems for the future in hopes for more future busine$$. I unfortunately had a bad & costly job done by this office. The dentist examend me and said tooth can be saved by a root canal and cap ($2700?) So I did. Come to find out tooth is cracked inside gum line and now is giving me pain which was the reason I went to him in first place. Now he wants to install implant for ($4000+)? It's wrong how this office hurts you more than helps you.

This experience goes back to May of 2019. I had recently moved here from Chicago and was looking for a new dentist. After reading some reviews I figured I would try this dentist. I went in for a cleaning and the cleaning was actually somewhat painful. I thought that's ok, it's going to be different than the dentist I have been going to the past 20+ years. The reason I also went to them was I was 2/3's of the way done with an implant, where the implant was placed in, I just needed the actual fake tooth made and put in the socket.

Going into the month of June I had my scan scheduled for sizing and what not, they took part of the scan but couldn't complete it because they did not have the part to pull the cap out of the socket covering the implant in my jaw, so I had to come back about 2 weeks later when they got the part. After that they re-scanned my mouth and were ready to go.

I had to wait about a month for their partner company to make the the actual tooth. I got a call about a month later that it was being shipped to the dentist and would take about a week. I was super happy to finally have this done as the process usually takes about a year from start to finish.

The next part is what made his one of the worst experiences ever. I had waited about another month and decided to give them a call. I was told that the company that made the tooth was holding it "hostage" until the dentist started ordering equipment from the company that makes the teeth. to be honest, I thought this was really odd, as I have never heard a company doing that before because that can really effect a business partnership. So I continued to let it go and say ok when can we get this taken care of so I can get my tooth put in. They said they would call me the next week and have the tooth there. I was ok with it and decided to wait.

Well fast forward three months later I decided to call and ask and was told that it is still being shipped out. I found it odd that it has taken nearly 6 months to get a tooth in, so i asked them to please get this done so I can finally have my implant I have been waiting for.

Fast forward to 8 months later and I am fed up with them, so I decide I am going to switch dentists. I call them to get all the records they have of me sent to my email. I was told they would send them to me right away. I had to call two more times over the span of two weeks to finally get the records. To this day 11 months later I have not heard from them at all about teeth cleaning, or getting my implant completed. After I got my records I went to my new dentist and they were able to complete this process within 3 weeks start to finish, they also didn't have the part to take the cap off and still were able to complete this task.

I wanted to like this dentist, and I gave them several chances, but this has been one of the worst experiences ever. I would highly recommend going somewhere different.

I am 57 years young and i have seen plenty of dentists in my day. Hands down Dr. Bao is the cream of the crop!I had 3 teeth pulled all at the same sitting, i didn't shed a tear...if just felt like a little tug and BAM!!! It was done and over with.
I HIGHLY reccomend Dr. Bao for all of your dentistry. The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is incredible.
