The staff are friendly and courteous, they are professional when cleaning your teeth and I have never had any sort of issue when the service they provide. The wait time for the dentist to call me in for my appointment are only a few minutes after my schedule appointment

Although I feel Dr. Ortiz is highly competent, "standard of care" is a sticky wicket for me. I went to him for several dental procedures that I had to pay for "out-of pocket." This dental office is routinely more expensive.
My issue is that in the process of replacing a three-unit bridge and before the permanent bridge came back the temporary one fell out. I had no idea what to do and called his after hours number at about 9:00 p.m. No call back and no response. He told me that he had turned off the emergency phone number so as not to wake his newborn. He wasn't available when I needed him, and thank goodness it wasn't anything more serious.
In addition, his charge for making a basic dental night guard was the most expensive of any dentist in Las Cruces. (Approximately $800.00.) I've found another dentist that I'm happy with the standard of card (and has excellent ratings) for my night guard and future dental needs.
