I would not normally do this but public needs to know....I felt like the patient that was very pushed into and misled for the purpose of only meeting what the student needed in his courses without no concern for my chronic health issues. is making my life horribly miserable painful since March 2019. Have had 5 hospital visits and stays since. Many jaw, neck and brain scans to see about pain , nausea, vision and vertigo issues Example: Pulled teeth and was suppose to be 48hr and 72 hour follow up but he was in another country. Called and always had to go to urgent care from then on. Does not deserve any credits or to graduate!!!!! Poor communication!!!! 1 year and month later work still not complete

I have had 3 wisdom teeth removed (2 with MAJOR issues) here and wouldn't go anywhere else. Just because they are students doesn't mean they don't know what they are doing!!!! Never had a problem reaching someone when calling either. Great place with great people!!

We have been trying for weeks to cancel an appointment but nobody ever answers the phone. We watched the employees when we were there running their mouths and kidding among each other and NEVER answered the phones. We called while we were there just to make sure and it got confirmed. Worst customer service EVER and the dentist was rude too. I would love a job where I get paid for NOT doing my job!!! We are in the process to file a formal complaint!!

I went in to get a consultation on getting corrective jaw surgery. I was contacted about a month after getting all of the molds, xrays, and pictures done. Dr. Blakey explained the procedure, the risks, and everything it entailed. I told him right then I wanted the surgery but he wanted me to think it over because it is an appearance and life altering surgery. He told me once I had a decision to email his assistant with my answer. The weekend past and on Monday I emailed his assistant with my decision to go forward with the surgery. A week had past and still no response. I emailed multiple times and still no response. I was getting the feeling Dr. Blakey really didn't want to do the surgery. My orthodontist had to get in touch with Dr. Blakey to see why it was taking so long. At this point I had been waiting for some kind of response for almost 3 months. Dr. Blakey's assistant called my work phone number and left a message. Mind you every other call I had gotten from them was to my cell phone. I called back an hour after I missed the call and got the assistants voicemail. I left a voicemail. Everyday for 3 weeks straight (In October 2015), I called and got the voicemail every time.To this day(April 2016) I never got a response. It was important for me to get the surgery as soon as possible as I'm getting married May 29, 2016 and wanted to make sure I had enough time to heal. I ended up going with another surgeon and had to pay again to have molds, xrays and photos taken. I was very disappointed because I heard great things about Dr. Blakey.

A dentist in Fayetteville recommended the UNC School of Dentistry for treatment of my TMJ pain. Not only did it take a long time to get an appointment, but I had to pay $438.00 up front before I could see one of the dentists. What a waste of time and money. Dr Pei Lim only did a consult about the pain, took some measurements and spent more time talking about the extensive costs for future treatments such as $437.00 for a CT scan, $1234.00 for a mouth splint and $165.00 to $303.00 for each additional office visit. The CT scan was necessary before any future visits and could only be done at that facility. Needless to say I have not been back and encourage everyone to look elsewhere for any treatments.

Everything was just Horrific! Root canal lasted less than 1 year and then tooth broke. The procedure was torturous as the student kept messing up. Now I have a broken tooth because of this. I canโt believe I paid for such a horrible service.

I donโt like how they treated my mother - their students are allowed to talk down to people. The student selected to work on my mother had horrible people skills and drilled her tooth down so far that a root canal is no longer an option. Partials or an implant is now required due to her lack of knowledge.

Patient Care. Costs. It's stated that the costs are about 1/3 (also, depending on skill level, student/graduate), compared to some private dentist practice.
There is no fee list published.
Considering that costs are comparable to average dental insurance plan (keep in mind that no insurance is accepted) and that the aim of the treatment will not be targeted at one dental issue but an overall improvement of all teeth/bite (which can add up to the cost of a car), there seems to be no benefit to receive services from an inexperienced student. Unfortunately.
