It was with a bit of trepidation that I called Dr. Hostrander's office after receiving his postcard in the mail. Since the age of 12, I had been referred from one dentist to the next as they RETIRED, so I have had only three dentists for the past 62 years! However, since my last dentist was not an approved provider by my Medicare Advantage policy, it was time to bite the bullet and make a change. In addition, the staff on the postcard, especially Dr. Hostrander, looked so young... would I feel comfortable in such an environment? I needn't have worried! My call was answered by a pleasant and knowledgeable lady who answered all my questions fully and correctly and obtained all the information they needed from me. Their practice was an approved provider. When the day of my appointment arrived, I was still a bit nervous -- but I walked into a calm, orderly, and friendly environment -- and sat with other clients of varying ages. My young, efficient, and gentle hygienist, after checking the records from my last dental visit to determine that they were due, took a full set of xrays. Then she gave me a wonderfully thorough cleaning.
When Dr. Dan came in to meet me and give my oral exam, I was impressed by his warm, professional demeanor, and his thoroughness and competency. We discussed several concerns I had about my teeth, and he gave me information I need to make some decisions. So -- wherever you fall on the age spectrum -- please rest assured that you will be comfortable, welcomed, and well-cared for at Eastover Dental.

Dr. Brooks Paine was the 1st dentist in 2 years to properly diagnose the chronic pain I had been experiencing. Inflamation under a bridge done by a previous dentist lead to my needing a root canal which Dr. Pain correctly accessed and which was confirmed and treated by an endodontist. I am very impressed with his quick and decisive manner and the professionalism of his entire staff. I highly recommend him at Eastover Dental.

Was a patient of Dr. Speigler for over 35 years---so a bit apprehensive to be in the hands of new dentist. Dr. Dan easily dispelled any fears I had. He is personable and professional---and had the good sense to keep Spiegler's outstanding staff. Fingers crossed, will be under Dr. Dan's care for the next 35 years!
Addendum: 2 years later, 2 doctors later. While the service at Eastover is very good, there has been a glaring lack of continuity of providers. I hope Dr. Fischer will continue as dentist at Eastover...he appears to be knowledgable and empathetic.

7 months later and Dr. Fisher is still there! He’s on a streak. And I am glad for it. He’s exactly what I want in a dentist: thorough, no-nonsense and THERE!
