Healthy Smile Dentistry

I had not been to a dentist in years and lost an old filling one evening. I made an emergency appointment and they got me in ASAP to repair. I was very anxious, but Dr Hamzeh and her staff were great throughout the whole process.

If it were possible to give a negative 5-star review, Dr. Hamzeh would get it. Simply put, she is incompetent, unprofessional, and a liar.
Four years ago I went to Dr. Hamzeh for problems I had with my molars/ wisdom teeth. She recommended onlays (6 or 7) for them, as well as a few fillings. Onlays are restorations somewhat like crowns. After having those procedures done in a series of appointments over 4 weeks, the onlays began to separate from my teeth and fall off into my mouth. It happened most often from flossing, but also on several occasions when I was eating something soft, like cheese, or even pasta.
The onlays popped off on a regular basis and I made dozens of visits over the course of 3-1/2 years for repairs/replacements on her original work and on every replacement that followed. All of the onlays she did needed to be replaced, and many needed more than one replacement as they also fell off. All the while she said she was “going to fix this”, so I was a regular visitor to her office as a result.
I had to stop flossing my teeth because doing so caused the onlays to pop off. She kept insisting she was “going to get it right”. It was at one of my last visits that she confided in me that no one in her office had been “properly trained” on the onlay milling machine, including herself, but they were really “working on it now”. In spite of the fact that she declared and promised me she was “going to get it right no matter what”, after about 3 years of this nonsense she began to blame me for the failure of her work. She said I must be “one of those people who grind their teeth in the daytime”. She indicated that none of this was her fault. She began to refuse to correct the work she had done poorly unless I would pay for the work all over again - work which she had done incorrectly from the beginning.
It was then that I decided to find a dentist who knows how to correctly do restorations. I found one, and he’s replaced all of her work. Not a single restoration he’s put on these exact same teeth has fallen out. It’s been 9 months with no problems at all.
I filed a complaint with the Ohio State Dental Board against Dr. Hamzeh.
Do yourself a favor: FIND ANOTHER DENTIST! Contact the Ohio State Dental Board for a referral. That’s what I did, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Also, the work he has done, which is far superior to hers, is at a much more reasonable cost - literally almost half of what she charges.

Dr. Hamzeh and her staff always make the experience of going to the dentist painless and comfortable. I was referred to Healthy Smile Dentistry by a few people, and have been a happy patient for over two years.

The experience of going to a dentist has always caused anxiety and stress for me, but Dr. Hamzeh takes the time to listen and understand her patients' needs. She has made me feel much more comfortable going to the dentist, and I would highly recommend Healthy Smile Dentistry to anyone looking for a new dentist in Columbus.

Really fantastic process from my initial inquiry to treatment! Had a couple of chipped teeth and they took care of them better than I expected very affordably! I look forward to returning for any future dental needs. Definitely the friendliest dental office you'll go to.

Healthy Smile Dentistry is a great place to have any work done on your teeth. Dr. Hamzeh is very polite and the staff is wonderful. They know who I am as soon as I call and are familiar with my dental needs. I highly recommend them.

The staff at Healthy Smile are always friendly and courteous to staff and one another. The dental assistants always do a great job explaining everything they do and Dr. Hamzeh is a consummate professional on the leading edge of her profession. The name says it all, I always leave with a healthy smile!

I have been here multiple times over the past 1-2 years (from the suggestion of a friend). The staff is always very welcoming and friendly. They remember who I am every appointment. I have never waited longer than about 3 minutes to get put in the dentist chair once I arrive. The appointments are very efficient I am usually in and out in about 30 minutes. AND I think it's the actual dentist who does my cleanings most appointments! Very impressed. They do everything they can to make you comfortable. If you are looking for a new dentist or just moved to the area, I highly recommend this one.
