Review of Redbud Dental
Redbud Dental: a dental clinic located in Edmond, Oklahoma that offers a range of dental services including cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, emergency dental services, and teeth whitening. The clinic is open from Monday to Friday, with limited hours on Saturdays, and is closed on Sundays.
The clinic has received mixed reviews from customers. Some customers have praised the clinic for its friendly and professional staff, with many mentioning specific staff members by name. Angela, Crystal, and Isabella have all been mentioned multiple times for their excellent service. Customers have also appreciated the clinic's state-of-the-art facilities and thorough dental cleanings.
However, other customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the clinic's services. Some have reported feeling pressured to undergo expensive treatments, with one customer stating that they were told they needed a full mouth workup costing over a thousand dollars before the clinic would address their specific dental issue. Another customer reported feeling overcharged for services and having to pay before their cleaning was completed.
Overall, Redbud Dental offers a range of dental services and has a friendly and professional staff. However, customers should be aware of the potential for expensive treatments and overcharging. It is recommended that customers check with their insurance company before scheduling an appointment to ensure that the clinic is in-network.

After having my root canal procedure done at Redbud Dental Edmond, I can confidently say I have one of the best dentists in the state. Dr. Peck's team make the atmosphere friendly. I honestly feel like I've known this team for a long time. I would recommend Redbud Dental to anyone.

They Made Me Feel Like I was VIP - Was Visiting Family and Had An Issue Last Minute and they were able to Schedule me in! Then on top of that the doctors went out of their way to treat me the same day! Super convenient and painless! Highly Recommend! 10/10 💯💯💯

Let me start off by saying that they give people discounts for posting their reviews here, so everyone should keep that in mind when reading all of their reviews and trying to make an unbiased decision!
I have had both good and just okay experiences here. The best experience I had here was when I was one of few patients being worked on at the time (I understand they get busy), they were very comforting as I have bad anxiety. I cannot give enough praise to Dr. Turbush, he gave me the least painful injections I have ever had, he does his work fast and precise, and he is very personable.
However, I had a painful and not very fun experience the first time I had to get a crown and a couple fillings with Dr. Peck. I have TMJ disorder and they simply just did too much work at one time, which left my jaw feeling extremely sore and painful afterwards. I let them know before the procedure, and they just gave me 6 ibuprofen which did not help with the pain afterwards. Admittedly, my mouth struggled to be completely numb which may just be me, and therefore the procedure did involve some pain.
There have been a few times where they forget to call me back about some issues where I have to remind them multiple times, and the wait times can be a bit long as the dentists work on people in between. That being said, they have been super accommodating and managed to get my nightguard ordered fast since I am leaving town for a bit, which I greatly appreciate.
They get the important stuff done right overall. The smaller stuff sometimes slides, and you have to ask for specific things if you need them (laughing gas, the vibe tip for injections) so I would just keep that in mind and be adamant about what you need and they will do it.

Surprisingly, a pleasant experience from my usual experiences else where! Very personable and kind staff. I appreciated the way my estimate for services were presented. The professional and courteous manners of everyone involved in my care, including Dr. Peck were greatly appreciated.

What an amazing experience! We had to find a new dentist in Edmond after moving here. I can't stand having my teeth clean and leaving with pain. I told my wife we would immediately find a new dentist if that were the case. Not only was there no pain, they had to do an extra deep cleaning under the gums and I still walked away feeling great. The staff were so friendly. If you need a new dentist, you just found them.

My daughter had a mouth injury on Memorial day, the day before we were moving overseas. After taking her to the ER, I was able to call the emergency number for Redbud Dental. Dr. Peck personally talked with me about her injury and set up an appointment for her the next morning. The next day he was able to give her stitches and we were all set for our trip. When she had the stitches removed a week later (in Hawaii) the dentist complimented on what a nice job Dr. Peck did on her stitches. I cannot thank Dr. Peck and his staff enough for seeing us on such short notice. If you or your family (especially kids!) need dental care, Redbud Dental should be your first choice. Just to reiterate- Dr. Peck personally called me on Memorial Day evening when I'm sure he was trying to relax with friends and family. Talk about above and beyond service.

I had a bad experience with the hygienist. While I was preparing for a filling, she came in and injected me with anesthetic. I believe she injected in the wrong place. The spot was not numbed at all and when the dentist came in, the area where the work was to be done wasn't numbed as it was supposed to be. She was rude and didn't care that I was hurting. Dr. Peck also recommended a root canal while another dentist said that a filling was all that was needed. I also had inconsistent care with one visit with an attentive dental assistant and another visit spent freezing when they had blankets available.
After my visit, I was sent a bill which was $260 more than what I was quoted for the visit. Apparently, the front office lied to me (or were incompetent) regarding my dental insurance. I would not have seen him if I had known that they didn't take my insurance. Then I tried to get more information on the charges and couldn't get them to call me back. Finally, I paid a collection agency to keep it off my credit, and was recently sent a NEW bill for the same amount with a threat to go to collections.
There are many, many good dentists in Edmond. Due to front office and billing issues, I would suggest that you find another option. If you are self-insured and plan to pay up front, this might be a good office for you, but if you want to use insurance, find someone else.

I have been going to Dr. Jay Peck at the Edmond office of Redbud Dental for over two years, and all I can say is, "Why didn't I start seeing the dentist earlier?!" Dr. Peck is a superior dentist who is an expert in both dentistry and orthodontic practice. I am a fellow healthcare professional, and I'm confident in his knowledge and abilities because he keeps up to date with the latest research and evidence in his field. His entire office practice is progressive in that it is virtually paperless, and the use of electronic technology in his office is impressive! And finally, the staff is, in a word, great. They never fail to show their appreciation for my choice to come to Redbud Dental. They are friendly and respectful and they even get my weird sense of humor! I feel safe and comfortable at Redbud Dental and I can't think of anything that would make me seek dental care elsewhere.

Dr. Abe is the best.
I had a popcorn kernel wedged so far up in my gums, Jesus himself couldn’t part those tides to get it out.
It hurt so bad.
I was all panic, no disco.
He numbed me up and had it out within like 10 minutes. He tolerated my anxiety like a champ. 10/10 recommend. Magic hands.

Appointment scheduled for Monday 3/26.
On Thursday 3/22 my appointment was cancelled due to non-payment.
They required a payment of over $2,000 on 3/22 to keep my appointment for 3/26 for services that were not yet rendered.
I have never heard of an office requiring a patient to pay for services in advance. Furthermore, I have yet to learn of any office requiring payment in full four days prior to the appointment.
They sent me a text message yesterday and dropped my appointment.
They already performed work on me about two weeks prior. I paid in full that day, prior to my work being completed. I voiced my concern that day. Instead of allowing me to pay after my work was completed, they required payment even earlier than the first visit.
That's the reward for paying in full as a cash payment? Make the customer pay over $2,000 four days in advance?
Seems unreasonable, unethical, unusual, and unfair.
I've already given them $400 and I've gone to two other dentists, and both have told me that the work that was done should have been finished in one or two appointments. They had me scheduled for a total of three appointments in my original treatment plan. Furthermore, neither dentist I visited recognizes the original work done as helpful or valuable. So, I still have to pay what the original amount was to another dentist for the same work.
I'm out $400 for incomplete work.
If you have thousands of dollars you can pay upfront, than I suppose this place is for you.
If, on the other hand, you would like to be certain of the quality of work provided was satisfactory prior to payment, I suggest you go elsewhere.
