Dr. Dondo Dental Excellence of Bend

I really wish I didn't have to write this review, but I think it's necessary to help inform current and/or future patients. Before I go into detail, I just want to say that this is a great team that has been awesome almost 100% of the time. But dentistry costs big money, and with those high price tags comes high expectations. No dentist is a magician with a perfect track record, but I would hope a little more honesty would be presented before having Dr. Dondo perform certain procedures. I recently had a root canal done last November, and he did a great job of being gentle and thorough. But it seems it's failed for unforeseen circumstances. I don't hold that against Dr. Dondo. But most dentists guarantee their work, and it appears Dr. Dondo does not. I was never given this information prior to the procedure, and now I will be responsible for having it retreated just barely under a year later. Again, I don't fault this failure on Dr. Dondo - root canals have never had a 100% success rate. But I'm frustrated that I'm to foot another bill with some surprise as it relates to industry standards. If I would have known better, I might have shopped around for another dentist with better guarantees, because again, these types of procedures are expensive and everything counts these days. Sure I could have done my own investigation, but his price tags are right up there with everyone else, and I would expect that small yet important distinction up front as a professional courtesy. This review is not to dismiss any other care that he has given me. It's been great up until this hiccup. But this hiccup is going to cost me way more than I ever anticipated, and that stinks. My point in this review is simply to inform others who are in the same boat. Money is tight, and fixing teeth is never convenient. Be more aware than I was. It might save you a couple thousand dollars.

I’m a fairly new patient of Dr Dondo and have been very pleased with the experience. I’ve had several visits including a cleaning and the replacement of a broken veneer on a front tooth where cosmetics and fit were paramount. I couldn’t be more pleased. Dr Dondo and his staff are meticulous with their care professional with their work. I highly recommend them.

Highly recommend Dr Arredondo and his amazing staff! I called as a new patient with an emergency issue and they happily got me an appointment that morning. The tooth pain I had was a 10 and they were so gentle and understanding of it. They even did a procedure in the office to alleviate the pain as what I needed was an appointment with a specialist. Their attention to my needs were better than I could've asked for especially during these times of uncertainty. The office is extremely clean with all of the proper equipment to follow restrictions and guidelines. I could go on forever about all of the things that go above and beyond! I've been avoiding the dentist for a couple of years because well, it's never an appointment that I'm excited about. I honestly can say that I can't wait to continue my preventative dental appointments with this office. Thank you so much for the great experience overall!

Dr Dondo and his staff are always fun to visit! They are all professional and great at what they do! My hygienist, Jen is amazing and thorough and always great at explaining concerns and how to improve on my home care. They were also very happy to hang out with my 8 month old while I was getting my teeth cleaned ;)

Dr Dondo and his team are the best! They take the time to explain what they will do and what they recommend is best for you and your treatment plan.
They are very thorough and kind. I’m a big chicken when it comes to going to the dentist but they put my mind at ease.

This is the best dentist and dental office I’ve ever been to. From the scheduling to the front desk to the clear explanation of the costs and payment options - all the way to the dentist and his team. I am a nervous dental patient and really appreciated the warmth of the team, and Dr. Dondo’s kind mannerism and professional dental work. They communicated every step so well, and I will never go to another dentist. This one’s the best! Care was fast and well done. Had to get a filling which I was very nervous about, but Dr. Dondo and the whole staff were very understanding and patient with me. They also had headphones I could listen to during the procedure which helped take my mind off things. I will definitely be coming back for future checkups/cleanings.
