Highly recommend Newport Dental, Dr. Loiselle and staff are outstanding!

They truly care and offer great dental advice. Went in for a cleaning and check-up, they were on time and friendly.

My second appointment with Newport Dental. I got the time wrong, but they fit me in right away. Chantel is and excellent and gentle hygienist. I did not see Dr. Loiselle this time, but my first visit I did, and he is also excellent.

Dr. Loiselle saved my life. He understood the connection between other illnesses and tooth concerns. I had a root canal that had become the gateway for a major bacterial infection. My regular doctor could not locate the source but he knew my body had a major infection. Along with this infection, there was a lump in my neck, my bones were thinning, and I had been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism, my voice was changing, and I had issues swallowing. However. I had a root canal right over the lump in my neck. OHSU diagnosed the lump as a spongy nodule and they were monitoring it. My chiropractic physician, Dr. Ewanyk did find the infection - IN MY ROOT CANAL!! However. NO DENTIST would pull it because they could not "see" it in any x-ray. Because Dr. Loiselle understood the connection to my health and teeth, and he worked closely with my chiropractic physician, he pulled the tooth. I am crying while I write this. Four months after the tooth was pulled, OHSU has declared I no longer have hyperparathyroidism, my bones are increasing, the lump is nearly gone, and I feel amazing. May God bless both Dr. Loiselle, his staff, and Dr. Ewanyk BIG. Dr. Loiselle and everyone involved in changing my life, are humans with fully functioning souls. Thank you and God bless. Great visit, as usual. The staff is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. My hygienist, Chantel, did her usual outstanding job. Definitely worth the trip from Albany.

This recent visit was my second dental cleaning which was about as painless as it could be. Stevie does a wonderful job and would recommend her to anyone. I gave a 4 because I have yet to have a filling or a crown done. That could be the 5th star, I am hoping.

Spirit delivered me to this excellent dentist whom I feel has literally saved my life! I live far north in WA state, but have been in Newport for 62 days now caring for my son who contracted a very strange syndrome and very nearly lost his life. So my own needs went untended. But Friday it was apparent that swelling and a foul taste in my mouth had to be addressed so I went to the ER room for antibiotics. Saturday I searched online the list of dentists and chose Scott Loiselle’s office because he had the most reviews and they were all glowing. I called his office and to my surprise he answered as he was in the office moving furniture around. I told him my situation and that Monday I had to take my son to the VA hospital in Portand. So he made an appointment for me to come in on Tuesday at 9:30. He knew exactly what had to be done and since it was a large back molar I would need to get an implant six months down the road. So he did a quick removal of the crown, cut the gum, drilled a bit on one root, slit sideways to expose the other two longer roots and pushed them out sideways to avoid them cracking. He had to scape bone a little to be sure all the infection was out. He put in a bone graft, sealed it quite well and took some stitches that will dissolve in a few more days. I didn’t need pain medication. He sent me home with some gel to put on the incision site. Tuesday evening he called me to check and make sure I was doing OK. I was fine, resting reading and so ecstatic that I could begin healing from this whole stressful event. Dr Loiselle even gave me his cell number in case I had an issue or question.
I have never been through such a painless dental experience. Dr Loiselle is a professional whose demeanor made me confident that I was in good hands. I am so enthused that I may make the journey down here to Newport to visit my son and become a patient from now on. If you want a great dentist, friendly compassionate office staff and prompt attention, choose this one!

Dr. Loiselle is very personable, he listens to you and explains things well. He is also very patient. You don't feel as if he's in a hurry to get to his next patient. He is also very thorough and as gentle as possible. I felt very secure in his hands and have recommended him to others. We wish he would move to the Medford / Ashland area 😊

I noticed that the first room to the right was acoustically padded properly as I was eased into the reclining chair. There was the normal minor probing and tuning of the oral cavity and most of the recording equipment was in place, ready for a concert. The maestro appeared with the remaining equipment, and began to tap on the tooth xylophone – we were tuned up properly and so he began. The concerto (in A minor) was properly recorded for prosperity and not a single note was missed. This perfection of a kind is not always encountered in general recording sessions. The xylophone keys properly polished, well tuned, and put away, were ready, pending the next planned concert, which I am sure we all will be waiting for. An enjoyable session to say the least!
