2023-March 29 - West Cobb Dental has a wonderful new addition, Charlotte H. She was fun and put me at ease because going to the dentist is always difficult for me, even though they are gentle and helping me to be better. Charlotte is a master at cleaning! I have been coming to this dentist since it first opened due to my previous dentist transferring to this location. Firstly, I’d like to preface that I have severe anxiety regarding the dentist. This has been the sole location from my experience that has really made an effort to comfort their patients who are anxious and help them feel more comfortable and safe in this environment. I brought my friend here two weeks ago for an appointment who also suffers from severe anxiety and the trip was an absolute success. Today, I am here once again to continue the treatment plan with my friend and it has also been a very successful and positive visit. Jenn, the front desk receptionist and financial advisor, has been very helpful quickly setting up future appointments for us and explaining the treatment process as well. If you or a friend or family member you know suffers from anxiety that is holding them back from going to the dentist, I absolutely recommend coming to this location. Let the staff know of any specific needs or concerns you have and they will 100% help in any way they can. They even have blankets! :-)

I’ve moved around a lot and been to a number of dentists but wow this place blew it out of the water. Every single person was so sweet, Dr. Houston and Denise were the best. I was pretty nervous with some news I was just told about my oral health and Dr. Houston couldn’t have been more reassuring and kind. A scary and intimidating visit ended up being a really great experience. So glad I’ve finally found my forever dental office!

Made “Emergency” appointment, I have insurance, and not my first visit. Check-in good, x-rays good. Waited in the chair for at least an hour, not one person came to me and explained a reason for delay. All I could think of is multiple rooms with patients and less doctors??? X-rays reveal two teeth cannot be saved. It’s not my first rodeo, I already knew, just like I know I cannot have the extractions without a referral. Five minutes with the doctor, and I get referral. I mentioned migraine, not being able to sleep, pain is bad. There is No infection. Doc cannot write script for tramadol, I’m allergic to it. The pain is unbearable and I feel like blowing my brains out. I got an appointment for a consult 8 days from now. Other than hating to go to the dentist because it’s always painful, now I can’t even go to temporarily relieve pain at least until I see a surgeon, many days later??? My experience with West Cobb Dentist Office has been life changing. My son recommended Dr. Houston. Even though the office is a 30 minute drive it has been well worth it. I went with several missing teeth. The doctor discovered a couple old crowns where improperly placed. Underneath the teeth were badly decayed and had to be removed. Now I was missing 3 molars on the upper right and 3 on the lower left. And a chipped front tooth to boot! We worked out a plan for dental implants. It's taken almost a year but now I have no missing teeth and a beautiful smile just in time for Thanksgiving. The staff is empathetic and caring. I was never surprised with what my out of pocket costs would be. They took care of all insurance submissions. This helped a great deal in planning the journey. I'm extremely claustrophobic. Dr. Houston made sure that I was comfortable during each procedure. That meant a lot to me and made the experience an enjoyable one. For many people, going to the dentist is a dreaded experience as it used to be for. I highly recommend West Cobb Dentist Office. For me it is now a part of my health care that I look forward to.
