Really like this dental practice. Everyone is friendly, helpful, & concerned for patient comfort. They get you in without months of waiting for an appointment. The service is prompt. I never feel as if the work is hurried or rushed. Finally, the dentists don't try to sell you procedures you don't need. I came to this practice because of a dentist who tried to sell me crowns I didn't need. Love this group.

She has this infectious laugh and is such a meticulous hygienist. Dr. Thomas is so kind and also has a great sense of humor. He provides very gentle, dental care and is very thorough when examining for potential problems in the future. Their entire staff is top notch and I always look forward to seeing my dental family.

I researched James Island Dental Associates looking for a smaller dental office, for competence, education, experience and a personal connection, not just a number, we will see you in three weeks type of practice.
Dr Weir was able to see me in a reasonable amount of time. Tried to save the tooth but found it was split. Extracting was no big issue. Easiest to date. He explained everything and his thoughts very clearly. In 3 months I will go for my second implant.
The cost is within “industry” standards. As most in retirement, we have left dental insurance behind. P.S. ask your congressman to add it to Medicare above the advantage plans!

Dr. Thomas and all of the ladies that work with him are very nice and helpful. I have been to other offices where I did not feel welcome nor that the dentist or hygienist listened to my needs, but that is not the case at James Island Dental Associates. I would highly recommend this office.

I’ve been a client of Dr Weir for 20 years. So has my wife. We moved from Johns Island to north Mt Pleasant eight years ago. The office is now 18 miles from us, but we would not consider changing dentists.
They are very efficient and professional, yet they’re the friendliest folks you’ll find anywhere. They also have adjusted well to the pandemic, from installing an air filtration system to having clients wait in the car until the room has been prepared. Plus, mask requirement, temperature check at the door and clear cautions about risks.
