I just moved here from Seattle and was told about Anderson dental by a colleague at work. Had my appointment today and it was really an amazing experience. The appointment could not have gone more smoothly. My hygienist, Kim, was super nice and informative , and the dentist was really funny. Already booked my next appointment!

Our family have to drive almost 2hrs to get to Rapid City. Anderson dental is well worth the drive. Kind, helpful, and a delight to be around, I didn't leave feeling like I had the worst teeth possible, they instead brought my self esteem about my teeth up. Most importantly they constantly work on staying up to date on current training and equipment. Love going to the dentist now.

Technology!! Wow! Dr Curt and Dr Carl not only have a very friendly staff, they have obviously made great investments in the equipment they use to take great care of patients.
From my cleaning to my crown was fast and painless!!!! I didn't feel a single twinge. The state of the art x-ray was cool. I also got to watch my crown get built in a new machine. Dr Curt said it was his " new, new" machine. Better, faster, and much more accurate than most. I didn't have to wait for the new crown and I didn't have to come back for fitting adjustments.
Thank you for all the investments you make to give me a good experience.

I went in to Anderson dental and I had the best experience with my dental work. They are very caring and did an awesome job with my new denture. Very honest I wanted a new partial and they said I did not need them at this time. I would and have recommended them.

Anderson dental is a family friendly facility. The moment you walk in the door you are greeted with smiling faces and a warm environment. Both Dr. Karl and Dr. Kurt are very knowledgeable in their field. I would highly recommend anyone to come to their office for their dental needs.

Beware of this establishment. From my perspective, their primary goal is to relay false information in the interest of their own financial gain... Initially, Anderson Dental comes off as a reputable establishment. Their reception staff is well and good, and the dental hygienist who did my cleaning was actually top notch. It is my belief that through establishing these early strengths, they are able to gain the trust of their customers, setting up the groundwork for the perpetuation of their elegant scam. You see, subsequent to the cleaning (as is standard procedure) the Dentist enters the room, assesses the patient's dental health and determines what, if any, work will be needed.
This is the point at which the Anderson Dental experience goes awry. At the time I first used their services, I was in my early 30's. All my life I’d had regular dental care every 6 months as was covered by insurance, as well as kept my teeth clean through religious brushing and flossing. Consequently, I’d never had any dental pain, and only a couple of times had I exhibited enamel decay that required repair.
So, imagine my surprise when Dr. Anderson’s assessment determined that I needed multiple procedures that would result in over $500 worth of work. It seemed very unusual given my history, but I figured that he was a medical professional and that he knew what he was doing. Thus, I agreed to begin the process of attending to whatever the doctor had identified. I decided to break the treatment up into two sessions. I went back to Andersen dental on a separate occasion and allowed them to do around $250 worth of dental work.
Then, before I had the opportunity to have them address the other half of the alleged problems, I got a new job. The new job required me to move to Nebraska. Since my relocation, I avoided going to the dentist for two years thinking that I was going to have to drop another $250+ on further dental work that didn't seem urgent to me, as I had no pain whatsoever, and never really trusted Anderson Dental's diagnosis in the first place.
Regardless, I finally set up an appointment at a new dentist here in Nebraska. They did their cleaning, and made their own assessment of my dental health. They determined that I have “great teeth” and that I require absolutely no dental work whatsoever. That’s right, even with a two year gap in dental care, my new dentist gave me a clean bill of overall dental health.
The point of this review is to educate future/potential Anderson Dental patients as to the distinct possibility that they will be swindled by fabricated claims from this establishment. I wish I'd gotten a second opinion sooner, and if you go to Anderson Dental, you should consider doing so as well. The needless loss of $250 really isn't a big deal to me, but being cheated is and I will not stand for it.
Furthermore, my wife also used their services, and had an experience similar to mine... Except for the fact that after they worked on her and took her money, she suffered dental pain for months. It appears as though they dreamt up some bunk diagnosis for her as well, and the work they did on her actually created problems for her where none had previously existed!
What I'm concerned with is that there are others out there who aren't as well off, and the fact that they would be very negatively impacted by a scam like this. Moreover, I'm no physician, but I know a little bit... Starting with the Hippocratic Oath. Among other ethical precepts, it states "primum non nocere" which translates to "do no harm". I understand that not all medical procedures go according to plan and sometimes end badly, which is just something that one must account for as a possible outcome that doctors cannot always avoid... But I'm pretty sure that if a procedure that never needed to be done goes badly, the onus of guilt is squarely upon the shoulders of the doctor who made that call.

I had fillings done at another dental office in town over 3 years ago and have never been able to chew on that side of my mouth. Dr Karl and his assistant Regalia were able to re do the fillings for me and the next day— I could finally eat on that side!!!

Dr Anderson has been my family’s dentist for years now and his service has been amazing! He’s taken care of me through a couple dental emergencies and has brought me relief through his years of experience. I have also had an implant done at his recommendation and just as he said it would it improved my quality of life by not having to compensate by chewing food on one side only! I also have two young children who are never nervous about having to go to the dentist. Great service, nice modern equipment and the patient facilities are outstanding! If you are looking for dental services I highly recommend Anderson Dental!
